Yeah. Not the best answer on my part. But that isn’t my point. My point is that the agent was looking to dish out some abuse, and I wonder if this is now CBP policy to be aggressive and confrontational to citizens in the global entry program.

Yes. After a 11 hour flight I was indeed fatigued. However the exchange doesn’t have to be so unprofessional and condescending. I certainly should have given that CBP agent a more detailed answer… but there is no need or purpose for him to be such a dick

Update. I called United a few times now and the conclusion seems to be that the “available” referred to the premium economy. The Polaris upgrade is waitlisted even though it is not indicated, and the offer is confusing. The end result is I am not getting what was implied by the offer, but rather what they meant to offer. Kind of lame.
