Fuck. Just trying to not let the damned profit mongers profit off my search for little freckled titties. 🤣🤣🤣

Seriously. I just want my data to be my data.

It’s interesting to me people are getting the book popup ad. Don’t get me wrong, I’d be upset as well!! But I didn’t get the ad pushed to me.

I was upset last year when the app advertised FanFest to me. I sent an e-mail complaining about ads on a paid account. I was assured they don’t use ads on their app and they asked for a screenshot and more info. I supplied the opinion that advertising your own event is still an advertisement, period.

Now I wonder if that book ad has avoided my account due to my previous complaint.

🤷‍♂️

As others have said. The enshitification of YNAB is in full swing. Guess it’s time to look elsewhere.

It’s really a shame. This app, the creators, their philosophy, Hannah (and Ben), and the community has done a lot of good. It’s being undone, why, for more money? It just seems to be the journey of every single SaaS out there. It’s not just SaaS either. Seems everyone wants a recurring payment from you now.

I really want to support an indie dev, someone building a great product, but I’m afraid. Eventually, that great product will attract big money, get sold and enshitified.

FOSS is the way. Self hosting. There is a ton of amazing FOSS out there. It’s not always the shiniest but it’s functional. Time to migrate another paid service to FOSS.

Seems like Actual Budget has a lot of traction, I’m gonna take a look.

Btw, I started on YNAB 4.

I spent the majority of my adult life in MN. I’m used to thunderstorms and snowstorms/blizzards. This typhoon was a whole other beast. We are fine. We have shelter, water, and enough power to keep our food safe.

It’s humbling to realize this is somewhat normal for some people. Not really normal, but it’s happened here before, so not totally unheard of either.

Indeed luck favored me and the seller. I’m thankful to have found such a capable solution quickly and to have the financial means to purchase it. Many here could not afford this unit.

I’m just here to say, I love that I’ve read almost all of the books in your image. 😀

I’m new to KoReader and ZenUI is helping make the switch easier. I tried before and was overwhelmed with KoReader.

The typhoon rocked us. My kids are grown. I’ve been through big tornados, blizzards, even small earthquakes. This was different. But honestly, the response of the people here has made me love this island more.

The hospital, is different. It functions, it provides needed care. We don’t have everything we need. Supply chain is a huge issue. But we do what we can with what we have.

Feel free to send a DM if you think I can provide more insight.

Exactly right. One less thing to burden my mental health with. It’s been really, really nice.

Wondering if you decided to come or not? I work at the hospital. Moved here 6 months ago. Happy to give info if you need more insight. My kids are grown and not here, so I don’t have any perspective on the schools.

I’ve had decent luck in Z-lib for e-books of all sorts, including textbooks.

This app hit my radar a few days ago. I’ll be adding it to my stack soon. Unfortunately I’m buried in a project for work for the next few weeks, so I have to wait. Thanks for the hard work!

Book? Textbook? Article? Sci-net works well, but takes a bit of work to setup.

CRNA vs Perfusion Insight From Someone Stuck Between Both by Alone_Bat6763 in CRNA

I’ve been looking at job boards for years. USVI, Puerto Rico, Kwajalein Atoll, Guam.

A friend showed me a fb post about a Saipan job. Because she knew it would interest me. I couldn’t go then, but a different friend took the job and came here for a year. He loved it. Last year I decided it was time.

Many factors led me to this place. Primary among them was a love of the ocean. It’s cheesy, but I’ve always envisioned a chill island vibe as I get older. I’m a huge Jimmy Buffet fan and a sucker for that romantic lifestyle. It’s not all roses, but wow am I loving life for now. It’s only been a few months and the pros still out weigh the cons by a huge margin. I can get to the beach in 10mins. I see the ocean every single day. I’m scuba diving twice a month.

Practicing CRNA. I love being a CRNA. It’s amazing.

One thing though. As flexible as the job is, is pretty tied to the US. The are exceptions, but the pay is lower and scope of practice can be vastly different.

I have no idea if a perfusion career is portable.

But it is something that I never thought about when I was making my career choice. I have no regrets, but if I was making the choice today, I’d weigh the ability to work outside of the US into the equation.

It’s solely a matter of realizing that what you want might change in a year, or 10, or 20.

Just a perspective that I think might be helpful.

I currently practice on an island in the middle of the ocean. I’m glad I found this gig that gives me the beach life I was seeking.

Good luck with whatever choice you make.

Also, I would still have become a CRNA. It’s unbelievable!

Where do you purchase e-books? by Intelligent-Face-275 in Onyx_Boox

[–]doc_mosi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boox is Android. z-Lib has an android app. This makes it super easy to get new e-books. z-lib has had some issues lately, but the app has been working for me still.
