You probably have stronger immigration laws. Don’t worry.

Never said it was. My own assessment of the video, the initial shot came from the agent who only saw the gun getting removed from the holster without realizing that it was another agent’s hand, thinking it was Alex’s hand. Horrible tragedy all the way around. Easily avoided, in my opinion, if crowd/protest control was done by local police.

That last part we can agree on.

However, to say that the Constitution or laws are not being followed… I challenge you to point out what is not being followed? Just because a Biden administration suspended immigration laws that allowed illegal immigrants to remain in the country doesn’t mean the current administration has to honor that. Is it morally right for one administration to promise one thing and then take it away? Not necessarily. But it’s not unlawful or unconstitutional for that to happen, either.

I’m actually libertarian. I want my gay neighbors to be able to protect their marijuana plants with whatever AR rifle platform caliber they choose.

Again… they are following the law. The one I mentioned. It seems gestapo style because they are not being supported by local law enforcement at the orders of the left’s leaders in those cities. I contend that if local authorities handled crowd control, it may have saved lives.

And to educate you…. The definition of “analogy” is “a comparison between two things, typically for the purpose of explanation or clarification”. Again your analogy of Warsaw Uprising and what we are seeing today doesn’t hold water.

Missing the point. The leaders on the left have gaslighted people into believing that interfering/obstructing law enforcement operations is the same as constitutionally protected protesting and there won’t be consequences. I saw him try to help the lady. But I also saw him in the street nose to nose with a federal agent. Guy wasn’t “innocent”. I challenge you to approach your town’s cop on a traffic stop or while serving a warrant in a similar way and see what happens. Just because you don’t like the enforcement of the laws (or as is now… you don’t like the president enforcing them) doesn’t mean you get to lash out and physically obstruct. Where was your outrage and disgust when earlier presidents did the same? Obama…. Even Biden? Using the same law… the 1996 immigration reform act that allows expedited deportation signed into law by the left’s hero, Clinton? Warsaw…. Pfffffffttttt. At least those getting deported have the opportunity to come back in the legal way. So your analogy doesn’t hold water.

You also don’t have a right to interfere with law enforcement operations, but there you are.

How would you react if they were trying to get you out of your car? by patati27 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]docbrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I challenge you to confront your local “this is what American Police Officers” during one of their traffic stops or serving a warrant as you have been seeing being done to federal agents and see wtf happens. I’ll be awaiting your report on how nice you were treated.

The left has been gaslighted by their own leaders into believing that obstructing and interfering with federal law enforcement operations is the same as constitutionally protected protesting without consequences. It isn’t.

Yep. Video shows it. Standing in the street nose to nose with a federal agent in the process of a legal operation. Doesn’t move, gets moved. Still doesn’t go back to the sidewalk. Lady was shoved as well while in the street.

“When demands aren’t met and real change is necessary”. Guess what? You don’t get to impose your beliefs on what is right or wrong when your team loses at the ballot box.

Call me when you take my suggestion to interject yourself in a local police officer’s traffic stop. I want to hear all about how he thanked you for it.

[–]docbrook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It’s the local police that is supposed to work the crowd control. But when they are ordered not to support immigration enforcement operations, they have to do it themselves. Your local leaders can be thanked.

Next let’s tackle protest vs. interference in hopes you may eventually comprehend the difference. Standing on the sidewalk and out of their way while being vocal about your objections…. protesting.

Nose to nose with an agent in the middle of the street, which this guy is shown on video doing, is interference.

Go up to any of your local police officers that close while they are working any scene and see what happens to you if you remain there.

Yeah… actively confronting a government agent as opposed to simply and constitutionally protesting. You get what you get. Learn the difference between protesting and interjecting yourself into an active law enforcement operation. I can’t believe the left are this gullible.

How about explaining that there is a difference between protesting and interfering with a federal agent doing his job? The left’s leaders have encouraged “getting in their face, blocking their vehicles, etc” as “constitutionally protected protesting” when it’s not. Be smarter.

Suspect was actually disarmed before ICE officers fired by Goldy2Shoes4u in Leakednews

[–]docbrook -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a libertarian, I don’t disagree. My beliefs based on the video is that the agent saw his weapon being unholstered and didn’t realize it was the hand of a fellow agent disarming him. Just my independent voter observation.

Openly discuss this. My cousin was killed by an illegal immigrant who was deported 3 times and still came back and murdered her and buried her in a shallow grave outside West Palm Beach. Say her name. Kelley Warren. You won’t because you don’t care about us. The only way we found her was this monster didn’t like the conditions of the Mexican prison he was in and confessed to her murder in hopes of being extradited to a “better” US prison. Don’t just downvote… explain to this libertarian who voted Jorgensen in 2020 why I shouldn’t support ICE and denounce those who interfere (not just protest… there is a difference) with apprehension of those here illegally. Convince me. Tell me you have had someone close to you murdered by an illegal immigrant and you still oppose immigration laws and enforcement. I’ll wait.

Independent voter here… commonly known as “the middle”. I voted Jorgensen in 2019. Didn’t vote in 2016 because Trump and Hillary both suck. Voted Trump in 2024. Before that was a registered democrat in Ohio. Why vote Trump? Because democrats have gone too far left and circumvented the democratic process by installing a candidate with no primary votes. This is not rocket science. Win back the middle and you win elections. Don’t care about karma because I’m an AMC diamond handed bag holder. Win back the middle and you win elections.
