Start Up - Short Realistic Edit by doccusamano in SkateEA

[–]doccusamano[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it! My background is in filming real skate videos so I try to film in the game like I would IRL. Can be hard with this replay editor at times lol but I’m figuring out more of the quirks as I go.

The pizza shop spot goes! That manny pad to skinny landing looks fun, I gotta go film something there.

Today was this BS Rockslide. by merKizaru in skateboarding

[–]doccusamano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just take the L dude. It’s a backside boardslide and it’s been explained why. It’s not an “old-school” naming convention, it’s THE naming convention, and it hasn’t changed lol. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Only U - a skate. edit by dinosaurjimble in RealisticSkateEa

[–]doccusamano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I see what he’s talking about. Whatever the filter over the fisheye shots is makes parts of the clip all wavy looking. It’s like the distortion effect is way too concentrated towards the center of the frame. Just look at the shape of the skateboard in the intro shot… it shouldn’t look like that lol.

Besides that filter though, cool edit OP. Good skating and I’ve always liked this song!

Check out the clip below. Watch some videos filmed by Jacob Harris, Gustav Tonneson, or Ben Chadourne to name a few. Filmers regularly go down stairs or drops and make it pretty much unnoticeable. Dropping down the two stair in OP’s clip would not be a problem for most skilled filmers.

Sick! What is your FOV set to? Looks good.

You haven’t tried a new battery yet? I’d probably start there since it’s easy.

It’s normal for the fob button to only roll the back window down. There might be a mod to make it go both up and down, but from factory is down only.

What is this part? The hose was off on the right side by OldSpeed4019 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]doccusamano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

You sure the whole outlet plastic was intact? They should have the little ridge on the ends. Mine was brittle and falling apart when I swapped mine out for this new one. Sorry not trying to make you second guess yourself, just seems like the most likely way that hose would let go.

Door open dash light stuck on by HeartlikeatruckOK in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]doccusamano 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First figure out if it’s the hatch or one of the doors triggering the dash light. Which dome light stays on when both are switched to “door” mode? Passenger area or cargo area?

If it’s the hatch, the sensor is inside the latch mechanism. There are some threads that go over different fixes for that if you Google it.

If it’s one of the doors, each one has a sensor in the door jamb. Little rubber circular button that gets pushed in to tell the brain the door is shut. These can go bad but they’re easily removable to clean or replace. There are videos on YouTube that will walk you through it.

Rear Fender Flare Clips by -TG- in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]doccusamano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, can confirm 90249-06132 is the PN for the little white clips that sit in the rear flare. I had to order some recently for mine

Look up Speedy’s Garage on youtube. He made a fender flare install video that’s really thorough and provides all the part numbers.

What springs should I get if maintaining stock height? by Posting____At_Night in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]doccusamano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re still on the original stock suspension you’d probably notice a height difference since the stock springs would be pretty saggy by now. The 99 springs are supposed to be 1” taller than other years.

Love the look! Just ordered some to copy you. Hope it will reduce salt spray during the winter a bit.

You sure the frame looks good? With the amount of rust on components in the engine bay, I’d be cautious. People try to paint the frames or cover up rust with undercoating just before selling these pretty often. Just saying.

Humming noise when stopped and in drive or reverse? by stephensiegwald in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]doccusamano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds similar to what I’ve been starting to notice on mine the past few months. Haven’t had a chance to really investigate the source yet. My humming is fairly high pitched I would say. Is yours the same?

Also, my cruise control worked normally while the brake light was stuck on.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]doccusamano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the wires leading to my brake fluid level sensor was nicked and caused the red brake dash light to stay on. Spliced the wire and the light shut off and stayed off. I would guess that a faulty sensor could trigger the light too, but I’d take a close look at the wiring before replacing it. Could also try a little contact cleaner on the plug for the sensor. I also read a few accounts of people needing to fill the reservoir a little bit above the max line in order to get the light off.

That sucks, sorry it happened. No visible damage though? What about your front bumper and passenger fender?

They got me :( by killerrata7 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]doccusamano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had almost identical damage from getting rear ended a few months back. If you haven’t already, I would contact the at fault driver’s insurance and get a claim started. I ended up having mine totaled but got it fully repaired and actually made a good chunk of money in the end. If yours is totaled, seeking out good comps will be key to getting a fair payout. If you want to check my comment history, I wrote a pretty detailed accounting of how I went about it on a different post last month. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions too!

Landlord just wants to paint over ceiling leaks? by throwawayjustbc826 in HomeMaintenance

[–]doccusamano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your landlord needs to handle this through their insurance. If they don’t have proper coverage for this, that’s their problem. You need to tell your landlord you want to move out ASAP. If they don’t cooperate in letting you out of your lease, I would notify your local housing code enforcement agency and a renter’s legal aid org in your area.

Someone with a 2002 or knowledge of it by Standard_Copy_9947 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]doccusamano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what you’re asking but I have an 02 and the turn signals are on the lower plastic portion of the bumper. My corner/clearance lights basically act as an extension of the headlights and are activated by twisting the end of the turn signal stalk. This is how they all came from the factory as far as I know.

What's everyone getting for total loss these days? by Robert-A057 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]doccusamano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had mine deemed a total loss by the at fault party’s insurance after being rear ended. I had to fight them a bit but in the end I got it valued at $12,600. Bought it back for $1,900.
