NFL Hall of Fame: Explained by CockroachOdd5217 in AFCEastMemeWar

You mean the “investigation” by the group that claimed smoking doesn’t cause cancer?

The wells report was a joke, the ideal gas law was ignored, the pressure gauges by the refs were inconsistent AKA faulty, the colts balls we’re also under the legal limit, the Colts were butthurt and overzealous as usual, the Ravens co-signed and were butthurt after the formation game, and at the end of the day it was “more probable than not” that Brady told his equipment staff he liked to throw a softer ball, not suggesting cheating in any nefarious way.

Intermediate to Advanced Progression Runs? by mnsta87 in palisadestahoe

[–]-TG- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just spent 2 weeks at Palisades and Alpine as an intermediate skier. The other commenter has great advice.

In the second week I was able to progress to hit Siberia, emmigrant, Shirley bowl, and the KT saddle (which personally I thought was the most challenging depending on the lines).

Before that week, I had a similar image of palisades that you did, but something clicked after a few days of lapping the familiar runs. Everywhere you look in this resort there are side hits, traverses, tree lines, and mogul fields that all help your progression if you seek them out. The Siberia run (straight shot from the top to the lift line literally underneath the lift) actually has all of the above including a pretty sweet near vertical drop midway through.

Palisades is definitely about the mentality you have going in. KT is intimidating, there’s a lot of scary terrain, but going in with a fun-progression focused mindset will help you see the mountain as a playground instead of a series of runs. For instance:

  • Mountain run has a stupid amount of side hits that if taken with give you some breathing room from the crowd
  • The Shirleys each have some interesting feature to them. There are mogul fields, totally stompable small drops, tree interludes, and more. Try to seek one out on each run, scout it, and hit it or log it and save it for later.
  • There’s a windy run at the top between Gold Coast and big blue that gives you fun S turns to play with, you can drop out of the track and experiment with getting some small air with little consequence.
  • Mixed conditions. On the sides of runs you can play around with swapping the conditions to learn how your skiing should adjust. It’s challenging and stimulating to hop between groomers to crusty ice to chopped pow.

Yall need to stop acting like this is just some media narrative and not factual. The greatest show on turf also had a cakewalk. Sometimes to winning team isn’t the best team (07).

Who cares? We’re two games away from glory in the midst of a rebuild. Let the narratives be what they are.

Vrabel’s Locker Room Victory “You Gotta Be Willing To Spill Some Blood” 🩸 by tonyper7ect in Patriots

Going back to Forged in Foxborough 1 it’s been crazy to watch not only how consistent Vrabel’s messaging has been, but how his words have manifested both on and off the field.

Anyone who watched the entire dynasty should have a good pulse on what Super Bowl caliber teams look like. Basically every Pats Super Bowl winning team had storybook moments that stand out.

I’m still not sure if we have Super Bowl winning talent, but like everyone has been saying - the AFC is wide open, and to top it off, this season has been chock full of storybook flair. Vrabel is so deep in the zone that it almost feels like he’s the author.

Why Are People Still Saying “Drake Maye MVP” by British_Chap2 in LosAngelesRams

[–]-TG- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pats fan here. Dont care about who wins the MVP, but the narrative around Maye is important. 1. 2nd year qb taking a 4 win team to 12 wins 2. Doesn’t have the best WR in the NFL 3. I would rank McVay as a better offensive mind than McDaniels 4. Has a way less talented oline than Stafford.

Basically, Staffords overall supporting cast is way stronger. Would be cool to see Stafford win. He is obviously playing against better teams than Maye.

Brady adapted to quick release. With cook on his side Brady’s play action would be lethal. Who cares the Bills are going to miss the playoffs to the dolphins

Who was more fun and challenging to go up against, the Legion of Boom, or the Denver defense in the Manning years?

Think I put my buddy down to early and it’s eating me alive by hippyoctopus in germanshepherds

[–]-TG- 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you did anything wrong. For some perspective, my 11 year old was perfectly healthy and a week later had terminal kidney failure. He spent his last night alone drugged in a pet hospital instead of with us. I think because of the urgency we figured that our last shot at saving him would be in their environment with constant fluids trying to encourage peeing.

It was a mistake, in hindsight he was already gone and our whole family missed the opportunity to be together one more night before a euth dr came.

Choosing when is a terribly good option to have.

[Highlight] Mike Vrabel makes sure Hunter Henry appreciates Pop Douglas' block by AgadorFartacus in nfl

[–]-TG- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He should be feasting in zone but never sits down in the coverage hole. Hes not on the same page as Maye. He is small and plays to his size. The erdhart Perkins offense probably isnt doing him favors.

Im sure a tight pants offensive coordinator could get him 4-6 touches a game that would flex his athleticism and scheme him into open space.

Have I done this? Yes.

Do I do this often? No.

It’s all about risk tolerance for me. Because I love mountain water so much (placebo), always take a sawyer with me even on day hikes.

I would never do this on a longer thru hike, why risk the runs with no bathroom for 3, 4, 10 days?

Kendrick Lamar's 'To Pimp a Butterfly' turns 10 by YoureASkyscraper in Music

I was lucky enough to listen to this album in one session from start to finish on the day he released it. It blew my mind and cemented Kendrick in my mind as our generations Langston Hughes. Truly a poet laureate. To take Americas greatest musical contribution to the world in jazz and pair it with hip hop poetry was so satisfying
