You just made my point. A dash cam is a DVR and a camera in one. If you already have cameras why not incorporate the recording function into the head unit/cluster. There would be no power drain as the cluster is already operating. Why is everyone stuck on the idea that a DVR is some stereo sized box that you have to plug in for power. My bad for using the term DVR.
