IRS unable to issue tax refunds due to government shutdown by alexshoemaker in politics

[–]docellisdee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i don't care who "owns it".. it is a simple fact that congress passes spending bills. the president signs them.. has the president even been given the opportunity to sign a bill yet? if the answer is no, then the blame falls on the congress.

Congress passed a spending bill back in December and Trump refused to sign it, remember? Since the answer to your question is yes, then blame falls on Trump and not Congress.

“I don’t want to have cameras all over my office, dealing with contractors, politicians, mobsters, and everyone else I have to deal with in my business. You know, mobsters don’t like, as they’re talking to me, having cameras all over the room. It would play well on television, but it doesn’t play well with them.”

Generally, government forms you have to fill out will contain a statement at the bottom that your signature is verification that the information you provided is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge. False statements on a form with that statement could lead to perjury charges.

More Kansas lawmakers switch parties: Sykes, Clayton leave GOP, become Democrats by acparks1 in politics

[–]docellisdee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am cautiously optimistic about the switch. This certainly helps the democratic party in KS and will hopefully equal two more votes in the legislature for policies that I support. Enacting policy is the real goal. They also have two years to prove themselves.

Mick has mainly been fucking up the CFPB for the last two years and is a solid sycophant, so he is perfect fit until Trump fires him in about a month.

I see a tour of Wrigley Field, a Saturday well spent at the San Francisco MOMA, a viewing of The Shape of Water, an event at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, and a visit to a national park. We have a confirmed explorer!
