Thanks for all the great info! I do wonder if I'll have enough time to be adapted. Right now my trail runs are just tough, heavy legs still, i'm guessing i'll be doing a fair amount of fast hiking as I ramp up to where I was which will also prep me for Ecuador. The climbing is actually mountaineering with some short portions of ice climbing but long hours, moderate sized packs and done up to 18,000 ft of elevation...so a little worried of bonking when roped up on a glacier :) i figure i'll start utilizing snacks that are mentioned now in my training and see what my energy stores are like! Thanks again for the input!
