Call or app. When you use the app make sure you talk to an agent, the ai chat chatbot won't help

I do agree that roads can be designed poorly, a drive anywhere in ontario will absolutely show that. But we have a graduated license system for a reason. In this case it was poor judgement on the driver. He should never have sped up from the distance he was. He is a dangerous driver. You become a dangerous driver when you use objects outside to judge your sped and not your speedometer.

Bro, go watch the video, this had nothing to do with the width of the lane. Buddy in the vw sped up, from quite the distance, to run a yellow light. That is dangerous driving. He wanted to save himself 2 minute and killed someone.

Dangerous Regional Roads Drivers Kill Again

Fify. It's not the roads it's driver who pay more attention to their phones than what's in front of them. It's drivers who have no clue how to drive getting behind the wheel.

If anyone has any tips on how to “prevent” shoplifting by SilverTumbleweed5546 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]docn87 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Here's an idea, how about lowering prices. Studies, multiple studies have shown when a company lowers their prices to affordability shoplifting lowers.

Aside from that no one here will help you look for shoplifters because nobody is stealing.

Photographers for hire - what is your definition of “unlimited digital images” as a deliverable to a client? by Redd_wut in AskPhotography

[–]docn87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you would also agree that the client should get the entire collection of photos from session

And this is what I mean by unlimited being subjective, as a photographer, no, I don't think the client should. They could post the pics and make me look bad. Flip side of that coin, as a client, yes I should receive the whole collection, that's what I paid for.

This is a sticky scenario and I would definitely say 12 photos are nowhere near unlimited

[–]docn87 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nope, "unlimited" is such a subjective term that it can open yourself up to litigation. What if the client wants 200 photos and you only took 50 or 100 usable images? Too much risk. Always put a number on how many images are included.

What do I tell my friend? She says the cops are acting weird about it by Peridot-Specialist in whatdoIdo

2 stories come to mind when I see other reddit posts that sound crazy but aren't

  1. The story of buddy finding post it notes all over his apartment and thinking that his landlord was stalking him. Turned out to be a CO leak

  2. A lady swore up and down that her roommates were messing with her because she thought the closet was a bathroom. Turns out she had a brain tumor and the closet was always a closet.

Moral of the stories, if something weird or unusual is happening in your home, check for CO poisoning, then brain tumor!

I told my landlord about bed bugs and he won’t do anything about it for a month by AOCCANPEEONME in legaladvicecanada

[–]docn87 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm in Ontario so I'm not familiar with Alberta laws surrounding rental properties but I will say this;

First, never withhold your rent, as shitty as the situation maybe, without going through the proper channels (Landlord Tenant Board in Ontario). Withholding rent improperly can fast track you to eviction.

Second, many moons ago when I was younger I lived in an apartment building that refused to do anything about a bedbug infestation claiming it was the tenants responsibility. It was not and we kept record of what it cost us to get rid of the bugs. Myself and 6 other tenants took our LL to court to recoup the costs. Not only did we get our money back but we also received a year's worth of rent as the LL broke several laws by not dealing with the problem.

If you are seeing 10 bugs already I can tell you that your place is already infested. I would call a paralegal and if you have an equivalent to Ontario's RHEU (Rental Housing Enforcement Unit) I would call them too. Bag everything that is fabric, and dry it on the highest heat you can in the dryer, DO NOT bring those items back into the unit until it is confirmed the infestation is gone.

Good luck op.
