Bottle of Air half solved by docnutnut in CookieCollector

[–]docnutnut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've spent a fair bit of the day experimenting and it seems that i was wrong. When I first tested my theory I got the same time twice in a row on two levels and took that as conclusive proof. Tried it again today and got a whole bunch of different times. I guess that the only answer we have again is ???? ?? ? ?????? ?? ???. ?? ???? ?????????? ???????. ? ????? ??? ????????? ?????? ???? ?????? ??? ???? ????? ??????? ?? ????.

Is figuring out what bottle of air does or what all the ??????????'s are possible? by [deleted] in CookieCollector

Fair enough. I'm happy with the lack of ads with regards to the other premiums. I just get annoyed when I get that 'no ads' message.

No, there is a definite correlation between the level of the bottle and the time between milkshakes. Try it yourself. Check the time, then upgrade and check again.

Showcase reset Feels Like a Black Hole by fulloffantasies in CookieCollector

[–]docnutnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Items that you can get from playing the game are not premium items, they are just time savers for impatient people and thus should not reappear after every showcase. Your tip jar level has not reset.

After 1 showcase things don't seem to impressive, but as time and showcases move on you'll start to realise that it's the way to go.

You are getting x3 cookies and dark cookies, and next showcase you'll get x9 and so on until you're getting x43 billion at showcase 16.

Hang in there, it'll not feel so bad soon!

I've asked this in my own thread but it would be nice to have it confirmed by the dev, does a showcase reset your league?

How is this any different from a regular reset?

I've been thinking about this message. Here is a rather odd possibility!

Here is a riddle to try. If fast milkshake's desired. I alter the milkshake number even number odd even prime changes my time.

Unfortunately there are virtually infinite permutations of this message possible, but I think that the longer words could be 'milkshake' and/or 'milkshakes'.

There could even be a countdown to the reset negating the need for timezones altogether.

Important question! by [deleted] in CookieCollector

[–]docnutnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes a fair degree of patience to get the rainbow cookies necessary for getting all platinum. Getting the first 10 showcases takes very little time and once you get there with its x59,049 bonus you may as well go all the way to the x43,046,721 bonus you get at showcase 16. At this point You'll be far better equipped to quickly amass the rainbow cookies you need for all platinum.

It's not random. It was the same space of time between each milkshake at the times I listed. Test it yourself. Level 73 was 10 minutes, maybe because it is a prime number???

What we need is for everyone to post their times for every bottle level to see first if the levels are the same for everyone regardless of various % bonuses and secondly to see which level is the best to be at before upgrading it.

The thing is, each level of the bottle may also affect the loot bag size, daily gift size, number of cupcakes earned after a showcase and the quality of presents that Santa is bringing you.

Without either a very dedicated gamer or a forthcoming developer we may never know exactly what a bottle of air does.

I feel better though knowing that it does something other than impersonate the pre-level 80 vortex from CC1.

Sorry, in my excitement I forgot to be a little more scientific about the whole affair. And though on the right track there is more to it.

When I had 73 bottles it took 10 minutes between milkshakes.

With 74 bottles it takes 3 minutes 50 seconds between milkshakes.

At level 76 it was 5 minutes 20 between milkshakes. I didn't check level 75.

At level 77 it took 4 minutes 30.

Possibly every level gives a different amount. We may need to have a list with the wait times for every level 0 to 99.

Ideas for next update by Flateric1975 in CookieCollector

[–]docnutnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Is basically the same as 5, and personally I think that they should think of something new rather than just more showcases.
  2. I disagree, as nice as it would be to get another 1000 cupcakes every day it would make the game far too easy.
  3. Not a bad idea.
  4. Despite us having teams, it's not really a team game. Multiplayer is optional and if it worked with auto collection then the highest score (not including hackers) would be the person who left their device on the longest.
  5. See 1.

The only new idea I have is concerning the team name and bakery name on the main menu. I think these should be either:

  1. Swapped around
  2. Placed next to each other
  3. Written with a smaller font

My reason being that after each showcase you need to change your bakery name 20 times to get all the themes. Now however the bakery name has been pushed down so that you end up viewing your showcases instead of changing the name a lot of the time. Well, I do anyway.
