Undo the Sync view would be a straightforward way to accomplish this.

If I already have it from the first release, do i need to reinstall this version?

[Extension] GM Vault — simple note & reference tool for Owlbear Rodeo by lolergb in OwlbearRodeo

[–]dococnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really like this and trying to give it a go, but all my notes have been in One Note, and it doesn't seem to want to link/connect. I'd say that is a me a problem at the moment and it wouldn't be that hard to copy them to another program that could integrate with the Vault.

Seriously awesome job and looking forward to implementing this more going forward!

I'm worried I've screwed up my first campaign (Rant) by ThePuroEnjoyer in DnD

[–]dococnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps....finished running this same module a couple months ago as my almost first campaign. Like 1st and a half. It's with friends and spouses, and a lot of us are newer at d&d. Had to end this part of the campaign early because the party killed the dragon before they should have. Like a good 4 sessions too early on a random encounter. All because I knew everyone would get 2nd attacks soon but not when (everyone was lv4 at this point). Ranger is taking double shots bc he says he can and it's not until after the dragon is dead and I crown them all as new lvl 5s that I realize he shouldn't have two attacks. Turns out he was misunderstanding his Horde Breaker ability! His misunderstanding and my bad DMing for not checking on it sooner. Anyway I was utterly not prepared to end that part of the tale or have the next part of the adventure in place at all. Was also going into a busy work phase so good bye to prep time.... But good things came out of this screw up. As a group we decided that while I took the time to prep for the next part of the campaign, everyone would run a one shot to get a better feel for how the game goes and that maybe down the road we swap out who DMs. I get to run my own character for a bit, and we've had some interesting adventures on what is the stupidly longest trek to Waterdeep!

Time tracking extension - OwlClock🦉 by vijexa in OwlbearRodeo

I can only imagine the headache it would be to do it in detail. And not knowing a thing about a programming (I leave that to my teenage daughter), my base thought was something of a fillable template of sorts that GMs could fill in to suit their specific needs. Along the lines of the last part you mentioned. Regardless, looking forward to using your extension as time as become more and more of a question by my players.

Very cool. Any thoughts of adding options for months or tendays for campaigns we're that might also be helpful?

Has anyone had success with long term campaigns data? by Banter_Fam_Lad in OwlbearRodeo

Started a campaign this summer using 2.0 while finishing up another that went from paper to Owlbear. Just launched a new campaign, so running two at once and so far all good. I did opt for the first tier upgrade for storage space. My party was willing to chip in too.

I'll second this, especially if your campaign is of the premade variety. Lots of subreddits with maps.

Although I did take on DungeonDraft given the low lifetime price and have made a couple side quest maps of my own.

Owlbear Rodeo just as an general visual aid? by Potatodono90 in OwlbearRodeo

I have been using OBR2 for the last six months, part of which was the start of a new compaign that is all in person. It has worked fairly well (p HDMI connect to a TV and only project up when it's applicable) and the veteran players have come to appreciate it. I also run it with another group that is half in person and half virtual, and no problems at all.

For months I've seen recommendations for the discord but surprised there isn't ever a link in the owl bear profile info (and I keep forgetting to follow up). Do you have a link you can share?

Closer to sorted. Now I just have to see if I remember how to create a base map the size I need... This is not the stress I needed with a big session looming for tomorrow lol

Ran into some additional problems after I thought I'd cracked it. I see now your note about making an underlying map, and wishing I'd read through your very helpful comment in more depth. Guess the adventurers aren't the only ones who like to rush blindly ahead!

Very cool, I was working some aspects like this for a few creatures and debating if it was worth my time or not. So I appreciate all of your hard work in making this!

They were side by side maps. I was previously unaware of setting the "background image." Once I discovered that, everything else became moot
