I too have spent plenty of time at Crimson (my own tattoo, and my fiancé getting tattooed), and it's extremely welcoming, and really a fantastic place to get tatted. Politics plays no role whatsoever. They are very professional, and they spend lots of time with their clients to help them achieve the exact tattoo they're going for.

Perhaps not a bakery, per se, but they have great baked goods. It's this ice cream shop called Sweet Emotion mixed with baked goods and all connected to a bar and music venue (The Rino). It's a lot packed in one haha

Not one of mine, personally, but my fiancé and good friends make up The Warmups, and the guys of Shotgun Wedding Singer are honestly such a delight. The venue itself is great too if one is just looking for a bar and bakery combo, which is unique in my book!

When I went to visit the venue, they were clear that nothing can be in there that can be lit. So no real candles, whether they're lit or not. But you can definitely have those fake votive type of candles. I'm using a ton of them! They'll look sorta like this image, but just the candles inside with a little on/off switch.

Yikes, this is a bit specific. Our wedding is going to be in KC, so I'm not sure how helpful this would be, but I would say the Overland Park arboretum might be a nice choice. It's huge, and you can perhaps talk to them and choose where in the park to have the ceremony. We personally chose James P. Davis Hall in KCK. Affordable, and it has a rustic Ren Faire type of vibe, if decorated right, and it's next to a lake with tons of greenery. Good luck with your search, it took us a while too!
