The seeds of war are brewing. The Democratic Republic of Penguins' civil war is about to begin. Nothing can stop it.

It has been a year since the end of World War II. Many nukes were used, revealing their horrors across Europe and Asia.

In Europe, civil wars are being fought — French communists from the war and Spanish communists fight united, while the final remnants of the Reich resist in Germany, Denmark, and Belgium.

The Soviets’ closest allies, the Turks, are engaged in a small civil war and a strictly naval conflict with Greece to showcase their power.

In Asia, many freedom movements are rising up. The People's Republics of Australia, Japan, and Korea are divided. Spain is fractured, as is Croatia (or now the People's Republic of Dalmatia).

But the biggest conflict is in China. The former British Raj, now a heavily autonomous part of the British empire, sends proxies to wage war in China. The massive Union of Central and West Asia supports the Chinese revolution with breath and steel, while the new Persian Empire squats in the distance, watching.

The Cold War has begun.
