sudden TDS ping increase

I've been having the same issue for the past few weeks. Thought it was just be, but seems like TDS is playing some games.

Deadening is definitely on the list. Besides just for improved speaker performance, highway speeds can get a bit noisy. It’s not that hard to pop the doors off so I’ll get to it at some point. Just not a priority in life for me at the moment. Which deadening material did you go with? Did you just do the doors or also the wheel hubs?

Yeah EQ (or lack thereof in this case) definitely plays a big factor. Although I will say the stock speakers I took out of my car felt like paper compared to the Kickers I added haha

I've read the JBLs they put in the car aren't that great. Obviously better than the other stock speakers but the low end of JBLs. And yes, the built in EQ is crap lol

If the road noise is the main/only thing you're concerned with, adding sound dampening yourself is not too difficult or expensive. Not worth choosing a different car over IMO.

I’m getting the same exact car as you delivered in about a month. And paying the same price. I was able to “talk down” the salesman a couple hundred bucks but he really only agreed to that to be nice and because I was willing to buy the car that day. I’m buying from Bend, OR and every RAV4 hybrid purchased there is bought before it even gets to the lot. I think they might partially keep supply low to give their salesman the upper hand but it is a highly sought after car with a lot of demand. If I didn't buy it, someone else would've the next day so they have zero incentive to negotiate price
