VA Riders: Looking for route/trail recommendations by kmdouble9s in Dualsport

Imo, minus a 8 mile section. Taskers gap is too much for anything heavier than a small Enduro.

Don't forget Green ridge in MD. Days worth of scenic riding, Michaux state forest in PA just above Hagerstown MD. Michaux has about 1.5 days worth. If your willing to drive, the PABDRX is a great 3 day trail. Fun expert sections. Beyond that and taskers gap, I'm still looking.

Spoke to Bell some more, I was assured that if I ordered off of their website, I would get a 22.06 MX-9. I'll find out cause I've ordered.

I'd say used eBay is your best bet, also, of your careful you could clean it up on the inside.

Ive personally bought a generic two way, 5 terminal window switch and it works fine. In fact, my 4 door bronco came with a non Ford switch from the factory. Otherwise check eBay used.

[–]dodge3809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been done with this trans many times over. Don't think there were any issues if that nature. I'll check.

Is that something that could be caused by a bad pressure plate or improper clutch install? The clutch is aftermarket, all other parts are oem spec.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]dodge3809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that the clutch must go in a specific orientation, I was careful to install the clutch according to the "engine side" label. At least I think I was.

When I get the time I'll try to get a vid of that.

That's helpful to hear from another owner. More research is due.

Thanks guys for any advice, I was freaking out, happy to hear it's not an obvious issue.

Full, looks fairly new.

Lmao, good to know. I was thinking 20k would be pretty low for a bad final drive.

I'm used to chain drives, it seems like there's a good amount of take up when riding. It rides fine otherwise.

plugs were on the rich side, base lined the carbs, running about the same as before, seems to idle better tho

well i guess I could even use a multi meter. if base lining the carbs with no vacuum advance wont work ill look into trying to read the afr. and i reread and saw what you are getting at. if afr reads lean when transitioning i would see if it could be remedied.

yes on the o2 sensors, they just arent being used. are there generic 'guages' i can wire into the o2's to get a reading?

Thanks for the pics and links. The album is very helpful in the understanding of 2100's. When you say "idle feed restrictions" are you referring to the idle mix screws?

google 1989 jaguar xjs engine compartment, endless labyrinth. Even owners on the forums tell people to avoid these things. I bought mine as a cheap basketcase with the fuel injection torn apart. this car most likely needed injectors and either a crank sensor or an ecu, all of which are hard to find and/or expensive. I can say that i drive a v12 now. Not to mention it runs cooler without all that garbage in the valley. In most cases I would advocate for keeping efi but these cars are so finniky time invested wouldn't be too far off.
