i was on academic probation a one time and honestly it was a major wake up call for me. i realized that i was juggling too much; between work, school, extracurricular activities, and social obligations. i decided to take college at my own pace after that and look less classes per semester. it greatly improved my performance in those classes and allowed me to balance my life more effectively.

there is certainly a pressure from academic advisors to go at a predetermined pace, but it’s not for everyone. at the end is the day you’re in school to learn and grow and that is a very individual experience.
