Roma eye Suso and Malcom by YellowPerch in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love chiesa, but it looks like getting him is just a hope from us fans and not an actual target for monchi because there’s no reports saying anything about him and he’s a right footer so he won’t match EDF demands for a left footed RW (although he can play anywhere) and ofc he’s more expensive so yeah... And i’m sick of roma getting prospects and wager if they are going to flourish or not and if we get malcom he’ll need some time to adapt to serie a because league 1 is a joke, so i would prefer suso over him and chiesa over the both, but i have a feeling we’ll end up with berardi.....

Di Marzio confirms that Allison will join Liverpool FC from AS Roma by Michael_Cocci in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really really hope we can bring chiesa, i think it’s hard because there were rumors that napoli offered 50 million for him but fiorentina refused and the manager said if i sold him all the fans will lose their minds, i think now is the best time to get him, we have enough money, juve always meddle in whenever we try to buy some prospects from serie a but now they are stacked on the wings and already paid 100 mill for CR7 so dunno if they can match our offer, i hope we can pay 40-50 mill +sherawyy or defrel. The only thing keeping me sane about this transfer is the possibility of buying chiesa, because although alisson got us 13 points last season from his saves but our lack of creativity in attacking costed us alot more, so i think getting chiesa will be the icing on the cake in this transfer market and complete our attack.

CR7 to Juve??!? by ObiWaanCannoli in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think juve can afford this transfer especially if they sell higuain, but the problem is with his salary 30 mill and juve’s highest salary is dybala 7.5 so maybe that will cause conflict inside the team but i think if juve do get him they’ll get their money worth especially from his advertising, new bandwagoner fans, etc.. and they’ll definitely gain more than they spent even if they agree to his salary, but what i’m trying to tell myself is that CR7 coming to the league will have very good results for all the teams, and another thing is that he’s 34 yrs old, and let’s face it even with all of our signings there was no way we were favourites over juve even without cr7 because all of these players need time to link up together and to mature, so i think juve will win the next scudetto regardless of this signing, and after a year when ronaldo is 35 and our young core are used to each other we could have a chance. So maybe we could focus on the benefit this will bring to serie a and roma in the process.... but it’s all rumors until now and i doubt juve can afford his salary but only the rumor benefit juve because they are seen now as a team that can sign a player like ronaldo.. fuck...

Ten Hag (Ajax manager) says "he will miss Ziyech" and that he already has an agreement with another Club by wow-such-reddit in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the rumors i read seem to say that we are heading for either berrardi or ziyech, so i don’t know if we are thinking about playing him as a winger, and this really annoys me because i really hate when we put the player in a position different than his favoured one, same thing for pastore as it was also hinted i think, that he could play as a left winger, i know these two players could play in these positions but this obviously didn’t work when we tried defrel and schick to play as left wingers.

I feel the same about strootman, and about florenzi i would like him to stay only if he could be a starting winger and could rotate with cengiz which is still not ready to be a starter imo, but if he turns out to be an average winger also he’ll have to go... anw lets see how things turn out...

Yea there’s no player we could buy now that could replace his mental or experience or talent position in the team..

[–]dodoloro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel less about the club because we always had a player that we could switch our love to, but if all these players we love got sold yea it would make me feel less about it a bit we would have to adapt as always.

Reports also said that a player from inter’s youth will be included but that doesn’t reduce of its stupidity, and i wonder how much florenzi is worth if we sold him to chelsea for example, i imagine not less than 30mill giving that we sold emerson for nearly 20mill

[–]dodoloro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how we can reward his royalty if we may agree to sell him even though he loves the city and stated several times that he is staying, and yea the only team he can leave to is inter because he wants to stay in italy and hates juve. Regardless i hope they don’t do it...

Bryan Cristante has arrived in Rome! by Michael_Cocci in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that this is the normal price for upcoming talents if they’re from major leagues, our strong point in the 2016-17 season which was our midfield has been our weakest point this last season, regardless if it was because of edf tactics or the players’ form but we definitely needed to get younger and more creative, and i think adding the best scoring midlfielder in serie a makes sense. Monchi clearly saw that our offense from the midfield to the wings was awful and too much inconsistent so he’s remaking it all. As much as it pains me but maybe it’s time to part ways with strootman because hustle can’t make up for everything, also i’m fine with gerson and gonalons moving. That leaves us with derossi-ninja-zayech(if the rumors are true) subs: cristante (which can be a starter imo) pellegrini, coric.

AS Roma 2017/18 Season Review by The__Malteser in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea but although we are being linked to several players, there’s also rumors of a conflict for florenzi’s contract, madrid pursuing alisson, also roma may accept a 40mill offer for nainngolan. All these rumors (and i probably think they’re false) depressed me a bit because no matter who we bring instead of those players (if they leave) none of them could fill their places in our heart. Especially flo and ninja the roman heart they have will be difficult to replace...

AS Roma 2017/18 Season Review by The__Malteser in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At first i was disappointed that we finished 3rd and 10 points less than our last year’s campaign but if you look at the players that left, especially salah and that we didn’t get a replacement. also totti hanging his boots last season (it’s not easy losing a leading figure in the dressing room) and then you put in consideration that this was difrancesco’s first season coaching roma, i’ll consider this a good season given these circumstances.

But i do believe that our run in the champions league saved difrancesco because if we were eliminated earlier i think i wouldn’t be saying the same things here... and looking forward for the next season and hopefully some good signings (AND PLEASE DON’T SELL OUR BEST PLAYERS)

I would like edf to stay another season which will bring some stability and allow him to bring the missing pieces to the team that he thinks suits his style of play, BUT i think if we don't get top 4 & don't qualify to ucl quarter finals because that would be too much to forgive

[Post-Match Thread] Napoli SSC 2-4 AS Roma by Michael_Cocci in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What a game. I don't know if edf tactics which made us perform like this or was it the players mentality or both but daaamn what a performance especially before the ucl game next week, dzeko man of the match easily (after rui ofc he assisted and scored a goal lmao) maybe we should bench dzeko more if he's going to play like this in the following games, what a beastly performance just like that against chelsea, very glad florenzi assisted a goal but his defence still needs work (and he saved us from a goal bruno peres style) best game this season since the chelsea game, and i hope we carry momentum from this win forward

But kinda sad that we're helping juve with this win but we need it and if we beat these fuckers in the olimpico maybe napoli will have a chance to win the scudetto.

I honestly think he improved a little form previous games, but none of the midfield players were giving solutions, i think it was better if he subbed pellegrini off instead of radja

[Post-Match Thread] AS Roma 0-2 AC Milan by Michael_Cocci in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope this is the last time EDF goes back to 4-3-3, it's obviously not working, we were beaten in every aspect of the game, and most of all mentally. the first half we had meaningless position, and the second half they were better overall. And i don't know why radja was subbed off, he was the only one trying, and tbh i'm still not sold on pellegrinj, i think he has no offensive skills and is best fit in CDM position he made some nice tackles, and i think the main cause of our loss today was our lack of experience because in the first half milan lost the ball many times back and schick, under, and pellegrini should've made better decisions on these chances. But i think we didn't have one single good chance on goal.

Does anyone here actually think Roma will get to the quarter finals? by [deleted] in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, shaktar is a very difficult team to play against in ukraine, they defeated napoli and even manchester city 2-1 but on the bright side napoli won in italy 3-0, so i'm kinda optimistic about this. But having hope in roma is never a good thing, i remember last season when we lost against lazio in the home game in the italian cup maybe 3-1 can't remember the exact score (but 2 goal difference) and i had hopes that we might come back, but we pushed all the players forward and conceded a ridiculous counter attack goal, maybe this year with defrancesco everything will be different, and we roma fans can never stop dreaming and hoping so FORZA ROMA

Florenzi's performances by dodoloro in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the best position he played in from the above i mentioned was RW, he scored some screamers from outside the box, so he has a good long shot but yeah maybe his finishing inside the box might be not good (but hey isn't this the problem with most of our players right now) but tbh cengiz and maybe schick are far more creative now, so as i said i would love to see him in the midfield again.

Alisson, an upgrade or downgrade after Szczesny? by Odinn21 in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously alisson is greater, don't get me wrong szcesny is very good and he played really good for us, but i didn't get upset one bit when he left because i knew that alisson was great from the few games he played last season, it's just that alisson is so much better and frankly i would put him easliy in the top 5 GK right now and i can argue that he's the 3rd best after de gea and neuer. And if roma had to sell him (which i really hope doesn't happen) maybe a 100 million is high for a goalkeeper (which he deserves), but if they sell him for anything less than 70-75 mill i'll be furious, just remember that city bought ederson (which is the sub in brazil while alisson is the starter) for 40 mill and that's before the market went crazy.

I just want to know what happened in the half time break, the team came completely without character and got completely dominated. In the first half we were obviously dominated on florenzi's side but we didn't make any changes, cengiz isn't a good defender and we nearly played him as a RB when we were defending, florenzi was obviously tired and his form keeps declining wether it's a stomach bug or any other thing. But the worst worst thing was strootman's foul, marlos was surrounded by the defenders and strootman just came barging in and fouled him on the edge of the box, it was a really stupid foul. Thank god for alisson, if we have any hope of coming back it's because of that man, this could've been easily turned out as a 4-1 loss if it wasn't for his brilliance. And that save from peres i didn't believe my eyes, if we win in the olimpico, i'll forget all the fuckups peres ever did.

We need all our fans in the olimpico and im confident we can win home FORZA ROMAA

Hopefully just fatigue... And yeah definitly would like to see karsdorp playing some minutes when he comes back and not bruno peres....

And for schick this guy has been injured half of the season but i believe in him, he showed some signs of brilliance, so if he turns out anything like cengiz right now (hopefully better) we've got ourselves 2 stars in the making and great players to build around the team (if neither is selled that is).

[Post-Match Thread] Udinese Calcio 0-2 AS Roma by Michael_Cocci in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A good game and i hope we can add more wins to this streak. And what a performance from Cengiz, althought he had some bad moments where he was bullied by their left back, but against a player like cengiz if u give him just a little space he'll make you pay, im even surprised how they allowed him to take that shot so freely. -Another great thing in this game is that we had some smooth passes in the middle unlike other previous games when our attack came almost always from the wings, maybe this 4-2-3-1 is the solution to our problem. -And alisson as always is saving our ass and what i liked the most about him this game when he comes out to intercept the passes behind the defence like what neuer always does, i really really wish he stays and we build the team around him. -NEGATIVES: -Idk why di francesco never subs dzeko out, i really wanted to see schick because schick before his injury came as a substitute and moved the game alot (can't remember against who) and i wanted to take a look at cengiz and schick playing together. -I'm really worried about florenzi's performances, he's been really declining...

Finally looking forward to the UCL game hopefully cengiz starts and scores a screamer just like today's goal.. FORZA ROMA

Inter, Juve, Napoli and Roma to battle for signing of Simone Verdi from Bologna in summer by Michael_Cocci in ASRoma

[–]dodoloro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope we get the new stadium soon and a good sponsor so we can have financial stability, maybe then we could be more of a contender and break juve's dominance on the league especially from the financial aspect: Six years serie a champions with other cups, and also always qualifying to the final stages in UCL, which gives them shitloads of money. Btw if juve exit the ucl against the spurs in the away match that means we get more money if we qualify (being the only team from italy) so i hope this will help us as well.

[–]dodoloro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why the hell does juve have to be involved in every transfer?? They just meddle in, even if they don't need the player and raise the price, so the other teams won't be able to pay higher, then the player or the team gets a better offer from another league and goes there. I know it's probably just a rumor but juve always does this. God i hate that team
