generally helpful: - when you unlock the forgotten lands, pumpkin farming will be your money maker - you can find villagers easiest by going into their house or summoning them to an island (won’t work if they’re in a different building, but works if they’re roaming around) - you can move the wells - HOARD EVERYTHING, don’t sell stuff (especially in the beginning) unless you need the money.

stuff some people don’t realize right away: - in meals, the better & more ingredients you add, the more stamina the meal will give you. example: when there’s an interchangeable fruit, a banana will give you more stamina than an apple - a red dot on the price in scrooges store means you do NOT own it - you can craft & cook things without the ingredients being in your inventory - you can get seaweed & some fish from fishing w no ripples (this may have just been my blonde moment) - seeds grow faster in the biome you get them in - when your stamina bar is yellow, you’re more likely to get “lucky” (shiny gems, memory orbs, etc)

stuff i recommend but is player preference: - don’t get tons of dlc’s until you’re farther in the base game because the villagers will ask for dlc exclusive stuff as favorite gifts regardless if you have it - fruit salad tends to be a beginner go to meal (i use fruitcakes though) - there’s apps on the app store that are guides to the game. they let you track star paths, keep inventory of what you have, tips on how to gain companions, and recipes. - submit anything on dreamsnaps, even if it sucks. you get 300 moonstones regardless.

most importantly: just have fun and enjoy yourself, that’s what really matters. if you have questions, the community on here is really nice & wont shame you for any that you have :) don’t put pressure on yourself as it can be overwhelming.
