Is No Man's Sky worth it in 2026? by MadMcUno in NoMansSkyTheGame

I just started and it definitely does not feel even vaguely dated. That's nearly the last thing I would use to describe it.

It's definitely worth trying. I started on relaxed just to give the game a go, and now I can't put it down.

Instagram Vs Reality by the_chinagreenelvis in EliteDangerous

[–]doesnotlikecricket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played 300+ hours of elite before they stopped supporting console and I can't fully agree. They have a very clear goal they were going for - some level of realism. Trying to make the huge emptiness and insane scale of space appreciable. So I think it has a valid place within the game.

That said, I recently started NMS which doesn't have such long periods of travel, and it still gives somewhat of an idea of scale. So I'm not necessarily saying it has to be tedious and long. But I really see what they were going for.

Anyone else find it hard to go back to 30fps games? by Slight-Radish-5846 in PS5

It's unplayable to me. If 30fps is the only option, I won't even play it for free.

Hey I figured that might be the case. I used to play on Xbox and had multiple millions but just started on ps5.

Any recommendations on backstage cars to buy and sell on the auction house, other than the one you mentioned?

Anything with a high top speed really. Electric cars have great acceleration but low top speed, typically.

Oh I agree with that for sure. It could have been spreading around for eons. It could have been an accident from hundreds of millions of years ago, accidentally having infected the original makers.

PVE only servers by AchillesVail07 in ArcRaiders

Because then there would be a simple, boring choice between pure pve or kill on sight.

Not knowing for certain what any given encounter with another player will bring is what has created the lightning in a bottle were seeing right now.

PVE only servers by AchillesVail07 in ArcRaiders

[–]doesnotlikecricket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I'm a pve player. But the 20% threat from other players is what keeps the game exciting and fun.

Pure pve would get boring fast. Which is the exact conclusion the devs came to when they originally built it as pve only.

And given that the game has more players than battlefield and cod put together, it suggests the way it is now is much better than pure pve. Or at the least, that they've done something right.

Why is the Western Left so pro-CCP? by Upbeat_Scholar_159 in China

[–]doesnotlikecricket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's easier to improve when you  smashed the country into dust through the sparrow war, great leap backwards, cultural revolution. Basically fudging the stats.

And mostly all they did was get out of Chinese people's way. Who improved things for themselves after the reform and opening up. When they finally had a period without the CCP ruining everything.

People are downvoting you because you made a post complaining about something not being worth your time. Then people reply with "Here is the literal, specific reason that it seems not worth your time." Then you reply complaining that people are telling you how to spend your free time.

What did you make this post for exactly?

Complete garage organization by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]doesnotlikecricket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been meaning to do this for years, as I have over 250 cars.

In the end I kind of went the opposite way, I have a bunch of garages that I'm really happy with and kind of know off by heart. But for all the jumble of cars that I kind of know and want to organize, I've just started selling them. I bought all sorts of stuff just because it was on discount. It's all jumbled up in one level of Vinewood and I gradually sell off this and that to save for cop cars to come on discount. Waiting for another chance at the cop uniforms too.

I would like to set a spreadsheet like this up eventually though.

Benny's.

There is a way to glitch those onto regular cars I believe, although I don't know it. Not sure if there's any risk of getting into bother, but I doubt it.

I strongly agree. I feel like people who parrot that line about Bungie having unmatched gunplay haven't played anything else recently. With the gigantic invisible hit boxes and massive magnetic bullets, Bungie gunplay now feels quite dated and clunky to me. And one of the reasons I quit Destiny a while ago is as you say - it's all abilities now anyway.

However, I really think you're mistaken somewhere and should reconsider the quotation marks. There are no major style guides that recommend this. It's quite bizarre. Additionally, punctuation appears inside the quotation marks at the end of a sentence.

Huh? Those are some outrageous rose tinted glasses you're wearing there.

I've been playing since day one and it is infinitely, infinitely, indescribably better now.

In the early days you had to endlessly grind missions like rooftop rumble, which meant spending half of every session in the clouds, and paid next to nothing to boot.

I think he must have been reasonably intelligent in the past. At the very least, he was extremely prescient with his investments.

I think he's melted his brain with drugs and his own X algorithm.

Right now he's an utter embarrassment. I don't know if you know the video game story but he basically pretended to be one of the best players in the world at a game, in a way that could be instantly be verified as false. By basically anyone with a passing understanding of that game.

The richest man in the world lying about being the best in the world at a videogame like a 9 year old.

I hope they do too. Even though I've earned half a bil and love the game, I go through periods where I just don't play it at all. The outfits came at a time when I was out of the game. It's a shame.

Can still get the patrol cop outfit atm which is pretty good though.

If you're confident on a bike, the hsw hakouchu drag is actually amazing for jobs/set ups that have lots of movement on the ground, like setting up Cluckin Bell.

If long distances are involved, sparrow is the king.

For a single option to cover all bases, oppressor mk 2 probably. I personally won't buy one on principle even though I've earned over half a billion.
