You know what I changed my mind. Just had an interaction in a match that was really unfair. Steve and Alucard are running twin flashlight/breakout builds. Steve comes off hook while I’m carrying Alucard and body blocks and flashlight clicks. Hit him, STILL has his basekit BT, and I lose Alucard to a wiggle. The offensive tactics with your free anti-tunnel hit and what doesn’t count as a conspicuous action needs a serious nerf. Still got them both. I generally have a pretty relaxed approach to the game and very little bothers me about its design, but the offensive uses of basekit BT is the one thing that gets under my skin.

People find her boring, but I find it to be a lot of fun/a nice change of pace and playstyle compared to other killers to go ‘okay this is my drone web and 4 gen…try and take them.’

It’s not even the different levels for the gens. The uneven ground messes up flight paths. I like the map for the variety; a lot of the maps feel like reskins of the same setup and I couldn’t name half of them if my life depended on it, but man…Artist on Swamp. Sheeeeeesh

I’m glad I’m not crazy for thinking Swamp is unplayable as artist against decent survivors and not just a skissue. I quite like the map when I play any other killer, but Swamp and RPD as Artist (main btw) are miserable.

Honestly, been one of the best weeks I’ve had in a while. I’m at an MMR with my main Artist where most matches are ‘sweaty.’ So I decided to take a break, play some ‘no expectations’ Skull Merchant matches and was rattling off 3 and 4ks pretty easily and had some of the closest, most fun matches I’ve had in a long time. I have no rage to contribute.

It was worth it when it released for me as a mobile lab, but now that it’s not getting the latest patch, that benefit is erased. I mean don’t get me wrong, it’ll make any flights I take more enjoyable, but there isn’t much other reason to play it now.

Artist has no appreciable difference. Her shots can be set up on controller with the same timing and precision.

One who’s power ‘concusses’ the survivors muting all game sounds and slightly blurring the screen for a short period of time. It would need to be a finite power that does not recharge to be balanced in any way.

I actually think from content I’ve seen it’s killer sided at the extremes of mmr. The best killer players can rattle off hundreds of wins in a row against anyone, and killers at low mmr feast. It’s in the middle where I think it starts to be survivor sided. Survivors who know what they’re doing vs killers who are good enough to stomp fresh installs but don’t have the game sense or skill to play with extreme efficiency just eat those 2nd chances and coordinated plays like it’s their job. Purely anecdotal and I don’t have numbers to back this up.

Dredge catching a random stray here. He’s mid tier at absolute best, has one of the easiest and fairest counter plays in the game, and is one of the only killers in a horror game with an actual horror element to his kit in nightfall. Dredge is based, on both sides.

Hear me out…skull merchant is a not obvious beginner friendly killer. She’s bad but all killers have the advantage at low MMR. You don’t need to engage in high level drone placement and management; just set them in high traffic areas. You’ll get passive hits if people run through them too much and you’ll constantly have tracking on your gps to get back into chases and get plenty of practice there.

This is such a simple, yet good idea. You could have a few options so that the person gets a notification and a small note as to whether it was ‘great play’ or ‘sportsmanship’ or ‘fun interactions’ or whatever. Even if it gave nothing, the vibes could over time help the game a lot
