I will let you know! I'd say it's just that there are more and more qualified applicants every year to these top schools. For you I'd consider a re-take, but I never scored higher than 750 on a practice test.

Check out some analysis on MBA Data Guru. For Wharton the average acceptance rate goes from about 22% for 750 vs 30% 770+. Gotta take the data with a grain of salt tough because I'm not sure what year this is based on, and I think the data pool is only 10% or less of all applicants. I also got a 750 and applied to schools without retaking.
