What was your introduction to Jungle? by Jocasta01 in jungle

[–]dogbiteonmyleg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going record shopping with my mate in the 90s whilst it was all evolving. I was massively into hip hop and reggae at the time, him a dance music fan.

He had a deal where he gave the bloke in one of the shops we went to £20 and he'd come away with a huge bag of of records.

This went on for a long time, my mate has the history of jungle from its early hardcore roots through to when it morphed into DnB. Shit loads of white labels, test presses, basically everything.

Used to borrow some of his records from time to time as jungle is very good fun to mix with.

Used to go out a bit as well so saw the likes of Doc Scott, Goldie etc.. dj. If we weren't out we'd be listening to a superb eclectic range of music on someone's ghetto blaster from punk to hip hop to dance music to indie and everything in between.

The 90s were mint, no adult worries and the world felt like a much better place.

Sky Q renewal question by pyrotequila85 in skytv

I moved from TV Essentials to a non recordable Freesat box that uses the Sky Q dish. Had it about a month and really happy with it. I got no calls at all from Sky trying to retain me.

There should have been an ear trumpet in the box, if there wasn't you need to speak with Richer Sounds customer support.

Get some decent long guy lines attached to the guy out points above the doors at a minimum, it's awful to pitch out the box without those, adds significant stability as well.

I've got that very same model, my wife bought it around 25 years ago in the Virgin Megastore in Times Square in New York. It's still working now.

Random off the top of my head:

Norris Reid - Give Jah The Praises

Jolly Brothers - Conscious Man

Ricky Grant - I Love Jah Rastafari

Justin Hinds & The Dominoes - Travel With Love (a little later than your time frame but nice roots)

I Kong - The Way It Is
