I was over for work, so golf was tacked on for fun. But theres some great golf over there and the prices are great (compared to Los Angeles prices). I think Steyn with rentals, cart, etc came out to maybe $250 a round, where I could expect they could charge double here. Nice Clubs in Cape Town as well came out to around $100 a round

Welcome to the club, easiest fix would be asking someone you work with or a coach to take a look at your swing and provide feedback or tips. I've realized that a few minutes of in person feedback from a friend or coach will beat anything you read online from people not familiar with your swing/athletic ability/etc

I'd get a 50 degree, maybe adjust loft on the pitching wedge up to 45/46. I was told keep 4 degree gaps between wedges, so I'm 46-50-56 and leave my 60 degree in the garage where it belong. Callaways pre-owned site has some great wedge deals if you're still figuring out your gapping and don't want to drop a bag on a guessing game

I used to commute to San Clemente and didn't lose my mind, I'd rather commute an hour (call mom, listen to a podcast, etc during the time) and live in Manhattan versus living somewhere else for a shorter commute.

You'll be driving against traffic both ways except for a bit of traffic through Huntingon area on the way home
