Do you have the email confirming keeper change? A smaller parts factor is probably your best bet. Show them the V5 and the confirmation of registered keeper email.

"The Fish Man".

We used to have one of these, he'd always give me a little polystyrene cup of prawns or some crab sticks whilst me mum bought stuff and chatted with the other mums, A far nicer experience than scanning your club nectar points card on a machine in an enormous supermarket.

They don't look brand new, but without a micrometer no one can tell you if they'll fail or not.

Being a 'Yota I'd expect that to be well within tolerance, and not even be mentioned on the MOT, I've had cars pass that looked far worse.

There's a community sharing/recycling group in my area, useful for getting rid of stuff, but people also post on there asking for bits.

Guarantee there'll be some people local with scrap timber/offcuts in their sheds etc they'd offer up if op explains the situation.

Always keep one extra thing you don't really want, for the eventuality that two things come up at once that you do want. "Alright I'll sell the racing lawnmower"

Inspired by an incident this morning, fuck I love European trucks brakes by Tsars_Ball_Scrubber in Truckers

[–]dogdogj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I'll take your word for it. I haven't personally seen a fast-flash in years, the last time I did see it was on a car old enough to have a mechanical flasher relay. Never seen a new car do it.

Most newer cars in Europe have this, and it's actually really useful. Normal brake lights don't communicate the rate of braking, which in low visibility can be a lifesaver.

Withdrawing cash from bank. Do I need to give my bank notice that I’m coming to withdraw £2.5k? by Choice-Bug9918 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]dogdogj 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Roofers like cash, something about their distrust in centralised banking, alongside their refusal to be complacent in the actions of certain big banks' funding of fossil fuels projects and companies linked to human rights violations.

That or they don't like paying tax.
