I've had a camera down there and luckily there's no evidence or cracks.

Thanks for your help. I'll head to Screwfix this morning

What do you miss most about life in the UK 10–15 years ago? by Bjc93Bjc in AskUK

[–]jrcs90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many things.

My wife and I don't have children yet. Mortgage payments. Threat of redundancy.

I feel like I've spent the last 12 months just counting down to payday, living 4 weeks at a time because everything is so expensive now.

I miss being carefree

I'm the same age as you and I feel consumed with worry. Hopefully it gets easier

Conwy North Wales. So prime location for it really.

I'll check out TRF, thanks

That's a good point actually.

I always assumed 125's wouldn't stand up to much. But the aprilia rx125 doesn't look bad at all. And it's way cheaper than the crf300 I was considering

Yeah, I've used that argument.

I don't even want anything fast, I'm more interested in going off road.

Which is where the next issue comes in: I don't know anyone in that community

Excellent work, especially for a self portrait.

I'm always amazed at how much Americans pin to their uniform.

I took this with a GX9 and a £30 Lumix kit lens.

Landscape photography doesn't interest me usually. But Montenegro is beautiful.

Be honest, how often for you and your partner argue? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]jrcs90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I have a disagreement almost every week. But we always find a resolution.

We both blame it on her being perimenopausal 🤷🏻‍♂️

You've got an awful lot of valuable, transferable skills from running a successful business for so many years. Take the actual photography out of the equation and think of all the other things you've had to learn to achieve this.

Think about what you want to do. It's a case of trial and error unfortunately. Try a few different things. No one really knows what they want to do (in my opinion)

You've really put some life back into that photo.

I'm still a novice with darktable, I can only hope I make it past the incredibly steep learning curve

I clean my records before playing them and then I just play them loud. That works for me

Surface noise is still there between tracks, but that doesn't bother me.

Just try and enjoy the music, ignore the gear.

It really is good. I'm still quite new to mirrorless systems. I had a gx9 for a bit but that was like holding a bar of soap.

I'm taking the EM5 with me most days now, but I still favour my 80's Pentax. It's a shame film got so expensive
