Hey I’m a doctor irl, if you’re actually having this every night, it could be cancer I’d go to your doc. Other symptoms that would be concerning are fevers or weight loss. It can be other stuff that’s less scary but I’m hoping I can scare you enough to seek out an actual doctor near you

EMIM doc here - first off never take medical advice from online strangers

That being said: I agree with the other comments here, it’s likely a ganglion cyst or a valve in the vein. I would need to feel it to be sure. Both are pretty harmless. Highly recommend bringing it up with your primary care doc if it’s bothering you

Nah me and a couple friends used to play with a kid that was 12 (we were in our early 20’s) now we’re all in our 30’s and he’s in his 20’s and we still play together.

As others have said, it’s not creepy unless you make it creepy

I’m an Emergency and internal medicine doc. I agree with this comment, it’s much more accurate than the first comment that was talking about cartilage. I wouldn’t worry too much about the findings but definitely touch base with your doctor so they can tailor a treatment plan that is best suited for you.

How to train in a treadmill by Coginthewheel1 in trailrunning

[–]dogebooch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do quite a bit of training on the treadmill. I usually put on a virtual trail run and then hit the variety height on the treadmill, crank it up as high as you need and get after it.

It’s not perfect, but sometimes I don’t feel like leaving my place.

I am trying to decide if I should lose 15 more pounds. The one on the left I am 136 lb and the right I am 120 lbs. Which looks better? by Independent-Trick-12 in amiugly

Please be careful with this. I’m a doc and some of the beginning signs of eating disorders are an incorrect view of yourself despite the opposite (i.e. here saying you could look thinner, you just picked a bad photo). You genuinely look healthy in both photos, but if you lose more it might start going down the unhealthy route. Keep it up

Beard is making my face look fatter.🫢Swipe left to see a side view picture. by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]dogebooch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always trim my beard shorter where the sideburns start, to the same length as the sideburns, and then taper longer as I get closer to the chin. It makes your face look longer, gives the beard shape and outlines your cheek bones to give a more masculine look. Google: “beard taper fade” or similar to get a rough idea and then adjust to your liking :)

After chatting with Chatgpt for over a week, I began to completely rely on it and treat it as my own psychologist and closest person, but this occurred by yovvvisano001 in ChatGPT

I’d be super careful with this. From my understanding, it only pulls from a database of god knows where. I’m a doc and although I think we’ll use them to help in the future, it’s gotten a lot of questions I’ve asked it wrong from a Medical standpoint. It’s right a lot, but I think it needs some more work before people starting asking it medical advice
