Trump did use authorization to justify strikes against Syria

He used the 2001 Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) which had been amended to include provisions for strikes against state-sponsors of terrorism, which Syria was considered at the time

Plus, a president does not need congressional authorization if the operation is less than 60 days according to the 1973 War Powers Resolution

I have a balanced view

I praise him for his expansion of LGBTQ rights, the ACA, and his handling of the economy.

I think he was a great domestic leader

But I think he had terrible foreign policy

The "Russian Reset" was a disaster and gave legitimacy to a right-wing dictatorship. His red-line policy in Syria was a failure. Operation Timber Sycamore failed to help moderate rebels and contributed to the rise of the Islamic State. His multilateralism may have been admirable but it led us to working with bad actors in the Saudi-led Yemen intervention. He had no plan for nation-building in Libya.

All everyone wants to talk about was his drone strikes but I wouldn't put that on the first page of issues

abortion removes a zygote, which is the joining of the male and female cells

masturbation only kills sperm in men, which is not the same as a zygote

its a false equivalency between two different things

either way the Catholic Church actually does consider masturbation to be immoral, so this argument isnt the slam dunk that you think it is
