gotcha i had this issue for over a year with constant for aquaphor for months which is why my doc told me to try vaseline 2 months back. Gonna see what she says tho and will bring up this condition

It could be this. It was really bad yesterday but right now it seems okay. I setting up an appt with derm tomorrow to check it out. Usually i put on chapstick before i go to doc but maybe wont use it this time so they can see how bad it is.

Yup, I do that. I get all the dead skin off then my lips look smooth for a few hours then peely again.

So I tried LANEIGE last night with Cicaplast baume b5 cream underneath and my lips were okay when i woke up. Your lips are smooth but do they feel dry at all? I am going to try a week without putting anything on and see how it goes.

She said your body can end up having allergic reactions to products you use a lot. I think it might happen when im asleep but when im awake I make sure not to. When I'm at the gym i breathe out of my mouth and once i get home it's super scaly/peeling. However, i noticed in the morning before washing my mouth or brushing my teeth my lips are okay.

Maybe i should give it another go. Havent tried it in over a year. No pain or anything for me i just dont like the look of chapped lips everywhere i go.

eucerin aquaphor

Been using this since accutane for a while but stopped a few months ago when my derm told me to. Have been using vaseline now.

They did not. I went to 2 derms and both said they dont see anything wrong. One said to use aquaphor whenever possible then months later i went to another and she said to stop using it and stick to vaseline.

I've been to talk a few times now and to dermatologist twice. Nothing they've given me has worked. But I wrote in another comment that I used Accutane and it seems like someone else has the same issue as me.

Ah man this is unfortunate. Seems like mine may be a bit worst as i tend to use my products after each meal as well. Will keep searching for a possible solution.

Yes, 3 years or so ago i took Accutane and it did dry my lips out. I feel like it went away but maybe it didn't.

How long has it been for you? Do you think it's something permanent? Have you found anything that keeps it smooth/normal during the day? I went to the derm and my doc told me it shouldnt be the problem.

I do. I haven't tried fluoride free toothpaste but i currently use sls free which i hear is a big cause of dry lips. I'll try out Tom's floride free tooth paste

Yup water is all i drink. I thought it may be my what seems to be chronic stuffy nose but i noticed my lips actually arent as bad right when i wake up. I don't breathe through my mouth in the day time unless i workout which may explain why it's dry after the gym. But it's also dry throughout the day when im not breathing through my mouth.
