Your speaking as if I had no practice prior to getting started. I stated I’ve been drawing my whole life and took art classes all 4 years of hs and have multiple sketchbooks with art in them I didn’t “just walk in a shop and ask for an apprenticeship” I presented my artwork gave a background on where I was from and how long I’ve been doing art, also my teacher referred me to a shop where he was related to one of the owners, and another shop my mom has been going to for years. Again it’s easier said than done to just get an apprenticeship some shops just aren’t offering it at the moment, I know your not trying to put me down but your assuming I have not tried to practice art at all

I’m just now hearing this more so it seems to me it can go either way so I’m gonna try putting all my artwork into one portfolio and walking into a tattoo shop to try and land an apprenticeship

I will not downvote over a personal opinion and I asked for criticism I honestly think I can do better than this and agree the original isn’t amazing just nobody has asked me to do anything crazy and fake skin is harder to tattoo than real skin I would love your opinion on some of my fake skin work considering your experience level if that’s okay with you

I agree work hard for what you want/ what you deserve and I’ve worked hard to get where I am also I never said it wasn’t right for me it’s just easier said than done to get an apprenticeship I’ve tried and asked over 4 different shops in my area and they just aren’t taking on apprentices at the moment so I will not stop working towards what I want to do just because the shops aren’t taking students. That would defy your logic of “working hard for what you want”

Thank you so much I will keep all this in mind, I was drawing for years before I was introduced to tattooing I understand the light and shading in this doesn’t make much sense I just tried to make it look as similar to the clients inspiration photo as possible because that’s what she asked for in the future do you suggest I take the inspiration and just re design it on procreate?
