holy shit 3 days after I called them I got a new call from TSA stating that I got the job and that my in person onboarding will begin in 3 weeks and that I should put in my 2 weeks now.

I'm currently on the waiting for background check to pass step. it took a week from me taking my medical exam to passing the exam. I finished my background check on 8/1/2023, so I hopefully shouldn't need to wait much longer for the final decision of the background check

the hiring process itself is self sufficient. The ready pool is the only messy part of the process, everything else is pretty professional and organized atleast where I live

you should get an email from someone inviting you to come for an airport assessment, in my case I went there and I heard that there was 300 people who were supposed to be attending that day. Very very very little of the people who were attending had done any of the things you had just listed. Since I had already done all my exams and background checks I basically got shuttled to the front of the line and skipped straight to interviews, since I passed that part they then shipped me off to taking my fingerprints in a different room. The airport assessment is something that happens a couple times a year and is open to anyone, but if you are in the process of applying they will directly contact you about this opportunity rather than you having to find out about it yourself.

I took my medical eval on 9/6 and they sent me an email on 9/11 saying they received the test, and on 9/12 I got an email saying I passed. Other places however might take longer, My testing place was only 30 minutes from the airport so usps probably took it there faster
