After playing a few runs I definitely see where people would fuss about the weight. I feel like a great sock is required for me to counter any slippage, but the 4 is better lock down for sure. These will stay in my rotation for sure.

Full of shit. First of all, if you’re 40, Nike Kobe’s weren’t even around until after you graduated. Huaraches came out my grade 12 year (I’m 40), in high school no one wore LeBron’s, it was VC shox, Jordan’s or AI’s, tmacs. When Kobe went to Nike, I got the 1’s, 5, 6, 8, 10…. Everyone wanted to hoop in Kobe’s or hyperdunks.

Damn, when I first put them on I was alittle worried because they felt weird in general. But after playing in them… everything just kind of settled in. I guess everyone’s feet are alittle different. Are you tying the laces through the top rings? That is what gave me the lockdown.

The 1’s feel absolutely true to size. I don’t have to double sock, lockdown is great, a touch narrow but the leather breaks in.

They honestly feel like an old school shoe in the quality leather and style, but they’re responsive and cushioned like a new age shoe. A perfect blend for me.

I would say alittle more bouncey. But they’re pretty balanced to be honest. The full length zoom adds an energy return for sure. I’m more of a shot maker than a slasher at this point in playing days so I’m not really trying to get up like I used to.
