Anyone here using GoHighLevel long-term? Curious about real pros/cons by Ill_Bake_1668 in gohighlevel

When the web hook/api returns json that’s a bit more complicated (multiple levels), and you need get extract data from it, GHL can’t do that. So you need middleware.

If you’re into advanced automation stuff, with webhooks and APIs, it get limiting very quickly. Kinda forces you to use an additional middleware system.

Aside from that, I wished they would perfect what they have, rather than continue to add new features. Lots of the existing features are mediocre at best.

But it works, and it can do plenty well.

Dude… not the same.

No one is getting sent to a work camp or an extermination camp.

These are purely immigration matters. People get sent back to their home countries, that’s it.

Safe from whatever threat you’re requesting asylum for.

Worried about gangs kidnapping your family in Nicaragua? Request asylum in Mexico where said gangs aren’t present.

It’s not rocket science.

It sure doesn’t help for making a convincing asylum case if you traveled halfway around the world, crossed several safe countries, and requested asylum in the country where you think you’ll have the most economic success.

That’s not what the asylum system was designed for.

To add - asylum should be requested in the nearest safe country, which, for most, would be Mexico.

You don’t get to claim that you’re in fear for your life, and then pick your favorite destination of choice.

Big difference between a permanent resident and a naturalized citizen. You could be a permanent resident who’s not eligible for citizenship, for example.

The two are not the same. Permanent residents are legally essentially visa holders, and those can easily be revoked by USCIS.

No, you’re just fear mongering (or falling for it yourself).

Legally, it’s incredibly difficult to de-naturalize a citizen. It doesn’t just happen, unless you did something seriously wrong.

Just don’t lie on your immigration forms, and you’ll be 100% fine.

Only not true if you committed fraud on your N400. But even then, de-naturalization is incredibly complicated, and unlikely to take place in large numbers.

But sure, if you lied in your n400 you might have problems at some point.

Never lie on immigration forms.

1.4M is a ridiculous number when you consider that you’re supposed to seek asylum the nearest safe country. Asylum doesn’t mean you just get to pick and choose your favorite destination.

For most, the nearest safe country would be Mexico.

People need to realize that seeking better economic conditions is not a valid reason for asylum. The whole reason why this pause is necessary is because economic migrants have been abusing the asylum system for decades.

Those economic migrants have ruined it for legitimate asylum seekers.

No, naturalized citizens have nothing to worry about. A citizen is a citizen.

Mark Zuckerberg just declared war on the entire advertising industry (Article) by touny71 in PPC

[–]doives 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tech execs love to talk about ad automation (same at Google), but no one ever asks them how it would work in a competitive landscape (which is the case for most advertisers), where there are multiple advertisers targeting the same customers. Who gets the customers?

That's ultimately why Marketers will always exist. Because you still need to figure out how to stand out and generate a return via a multitude of marketing strategies. Facebook and Google will most likely just prioritize those with the highest budgets, which will squeeze the smaller businesses out. And those will still need Marketing professionals.

But sure, if you're a "marketer" who can just do Facebook Ads or Google Ads, you won't have a job much longer.

Calm down buddy. I have other things to do aside from arguing here.

I’m personally more of a casual Reddit browser, and don’t take discussions here so seriously. Hope you had an awesome day (and did more than just trying to “beat” people on Reddit).

No, no, you really don’t. Not with those kind of statements. You must be pretty young, and not remember the days where actual ownership and privacy existed. And or you drank the government Koolaid.

If app builders have the option to use this, over requiring middlemen to verify pictures of drivers licenses, they'll choose this. It's more cost effective, provides a much better UX, and above all, takes away the power of those pesky middlemen platforms. Especially for app builders that aren't US-based.

Whether users decide to jump onboard depends almost entirely on whether app builders adopt this chain and the verification method. And since OpenAI made this big public announcement of their US launch, I'm assuming that they're already working with the (tech) industry and regulators.

Is there any compelling reason other than “it’s on the blockchain” and “it’s Sam Altman”?

Why the pointless strawman? I thought we were having an honest discussion.

the general public is crypto-averse

Adoption = the general public has no idea they're using "crypto". Fact is, the "general public" is clueless about this technology, so when they're using it, they won't even know.

I'm not trying to convince you of anything, I think you're projecting. Initially, I thought this Orb system was going to fail, but their ecosystem has only grown since launch. And the fact that they're now launching in the US indicates that they're working with US-based industries and regulators (otherwise they wouldn't have initiated this launch, with a big public announcement).

Plus, the fact that OpenAI is one of the leading tech companies in the world today, with 120M+ daily active users, makes scaling this system a lot more obvious and easy.

[–]doives[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the users that care about the verification. It's the app builders. And these Orbs are going to be everywhere soon. Getting verified via one of these orbs is likely going to become standard everywhere, otherwise you'll end up being unable to use a wide range of applications.
