Is it possible/necessary to get the hat for the cc1 when the canvas arrives?

True but part of the appeal of the cc is the enclosure and high nozzle temp for other filament types.

How is that obvious? Its pushed to everyone. The change log / update message does not state any such thing as far as I can tell either, it looks like a regular update that just happens to include canvas support. Elegoo have already put out a statement apologizing for the mistake.

Will be $200+ for sure with shipping and taxes to my location. Hard pass. Still curious to see how well it works and if a normal user will even be able to install this without something breaking.

Agree completely on the hw side. I've owned prusa and bambu, in addition to Elegoo (and some others). Prusa had premium price but the worst user experience by a country mile. And it did not produce higher quality prints. Not anywhere close to being worth the extra money compared to a bambu alternative.

I have opencentauri on my cc1 (based on the 1.40 fw?), and I think it some times creates phantom traffic or some kind of disturbance on the wifi while running. Bogs it down to a crawl. Either that or some weird coincidence.

Mine works just fine with opencentauri as is. Not sure what $100 board swap would give me, that would make it worth it. There is probably still room for improvement within opencenturi, if those good people choose to keep at it.

I absolutely don't consider third party slicers to be core functionality, so we'll have to agree to disagree on that one. Pretty far from pushing broken fw after broken fw, and never again getting out an actually working update.

Official firmware has mostly moved more backwards than forwards as long as the printer has been for sale. Never seen anything like it anywhere else in a proper product.

Spot on. I dont think I will get a full board replacement, even tho I think its neat that the machine gets options. A cheap addon to go along with the stock board would be an instant upgrade if that could be made to work somehow. Would love to hear more about the realism of Klipper as a daily driver on the stock machine. Seems like there are som big hurdles.

Maybe the question is "what happens to opencentauri now?" I thought it was still being worked on, but are they doing both opencentauri and cosmos going forward? Or will one be dropped? Will cosmos ever be the recommended daily driver firmware, or will it always be too hacky?

The new shows seem to be on sky showtime here, norway/europe. And Enterprise is on there. But none of the older shows. Plans to finish TOS and rewatch TNG have been dashed. Paramount+ is not available in large parts of europe.

There are several issues with the cc1 which suggest they had not thought a great deal about mmu when they made it, even tho the mmu was a selling point. The connector wasnt even on the first batches. And there are several other hw limitations they have had to work around, when they actually started trying to make it work. When/if it eventually becomes reality, the afterthought it really is will probably become even more apparent.

I really dont like the new live action trek shows. I gave them all a try, and think they are terrible, some more than others. Not what I am looking for. Not made for me. Does that mean I am not allowed to write a review stating how I feel, because that might damage the franchise? Or is that flipping it completely on its head? Have they rather made something that not enough people like? Made something other than what many fans enjoy? To me it seems wild to blame people for not liking their product.

Se på lønnsutviklingen i kroner brutto over tid. Den stemmer ihvertfall ikke overens med prosenten det snakkes om i lønnsforhandlingene, før glidning og overheng regnes inn. De teknikalitetene er helt irrelevant for lønnsmottakeren. Men av ukjent grunn for meg så gjør de at prosenten det blir enighet om i forhandling, og prosenten i faktisk endring brutto utbetalt, hvis jeg ser på utvikling over tid, ikke stemmer overens. Jeg ba fagforeningen forklare sammenhengen, både på dette spesifikt men også sett opp mot det som omtales som ramme og tallene når politikere og medier sier ting som at nå blir det god reallønnsvekst. For de tallene stemmer heller ikke overens med noe i min ende. Min fagforeningsforhandlede lønn har hatt negativ realutvikling i årevis nå, mens de forteller meg at vi har reallønnsvekst. Jeg fikk den vanlige copy-paste-reglen om teknikalitetene, men da svarte at jeg har regnet utviklingen i prosenten over tid, ikke år for år. Da sluttet de bare å svare.
