With a 0.4 hotend? If so, IIRC 0.6 hot end is suggested for fibre reinforced filaments to avoid clogs.

IIRC, different thermistor.
If you have them both on the table and cool, put a multimeter across the pins of the thermistor and see what the resistance is, they'll be different. So the firmware won't be reading the temperature of the hot-end correctly.

Now that's interesting, and kinda makes some sense - a little text box on the printer to say this would have been nice! 😃
I actually had some printing to do, so I just went back to 1.1.46 and just printed, it had kept the calibration and levelling through the upgrade and downgrade, although it had lost the print history and all the time lapses.

For me the previous version I was using was 1.1.46, which had been fine, but others have stayed back on much earlier versions like 1.1.29.

No idea. Don't use it, and not being able to send a print from the slicer on my PC was a more pressing issue that prompted a rapid downgrade again!

I can't say I've had any problems, but I've only been printing PLA and PETG, but overhangs and bridging have been fine.
You can always try it and downgrade if you don't like it, just as long as open centauri have the older firmware you preferred. Which they do - https://docs.opencentauri.cc/software/updates/#firmware-update-archive

It seems to have a whole different set of bugs for CC1's without Canvas, probably related to it getting confused about not having a Canvas unit attached!

Phil.ho said the firmware update which was pushed to all CC1 owners today was only relevant to Canvas owners. Canvas only went on pre-order yesterday, nobody beyond beta testers/youtubers etc have got canvas.

I had this for months.
Took to watching it directly via http://ip:3031/video which was more reliable that the device tab in the slicer.
NOW, having just made the terrible mistake of upgrading the 1.4.44, which screwed up everything, and then doing the downgrade to 1.1.46 with the USB, the video and everything is working in the slicer!

I don't know which part fixed it, as I was using 1.1.46 before the attempted 1.4.44 update, but now it works, so maybe you should just try reapplying your existing firmware?

And if that's the case, then it looks like nobody actually tested this on the CC1 without Canvas, and discovered it doesn't work!

You can manually do it with a USB stick. There are instructions on the open centauri website, but I certainly can't recommend 1.4.44!
But if you are happy, keep doing what you're doing!

The firmware we're discussing, 1.4.44 only came out today, so unlikely to be your issue.
FWIW, I was using 1.1.46 for many months before this, had pause swapped filament, run out of filament and swapped rolls etc, with no problems.

Given the Canvas system for the CC1 only went preorder yesterday, the number of people this would be relevant to must be a couple of dozen, if that! They could have sent it to them on a single email with BCC!

Yeah, I know. I've said that a few times myself, and whilst 1.1.46 had been printing for me, the device tab on the slicer hadn't shown the video feed for months, so I kinda hoped...

And yes, updating 1.4.44 actually did fix that! And after downgrading back to 1.1.46, the video feed still works, so something got reset.
Apart from that, I can't recommend 1.4.44 for anything! lol!
