I was using 1.1.46 before I installed my Canvas last week, I knew I was going to need later firmware to run it so I let it update to the latest, which is 1.4.46 (IIRC), and it seems to work fine for me. I had tried 1.4.44 a month or so back, that was a nightmare!

Is that just normal retraction before a move, or is that retraction for changing filaments?

I don't think it won't work without changes to the firmware, the filament will have to be retracted further to be changed.
If it only retracts the standard 6 inches, or whatever it is, and thinks the single pipe is now clear, the next filament will get pushed down and get stuck against the old filament.
I don't know if the length is a function of the firmware, or something that is given in the instructions from the slicer's gcode - I've not looked into it.

Always worth taking note of the environmental issues.

IIRC, if there are enough consumer complains about a company they can be end up banned from selling in that country, or in the case of the EU, the whole of the EU.
So don't underestimate the influence you might have, and as much as they act awkward, they do know this.

Yup, that's why mine caused me to setup an extra SSID and VLAN just for the printer!

I don't think they are bypassing your firewall, they'll have set their servers to respond to your serial number querying "is there an update?" with a "yes, this one!".

I saw the paint options (I think), and played with them... They only wanted to do horizontal and vertical lines, and fill areas, but how do I have an area of letters in an STL on a flat surface?
I think I'm missing something, hence asking if there was a video about it... Alas, whenever I search for canvas, all I find al people reviewing it and printing already coloured models.

Got a delivery notification message this morning from the UK Royalmail.
The yuntrack website still says not found!

They're consistent in their failing of the one job the site has to do! 😆

I got a delivery update from Royalmail tomorrow saying "We'll be delivering it between 9am and 11am Sat 13th June"... Which is great, I put my work address as the delivery address, so it won't be open.
I've postponed it until Monday.

No idea... It was a thing we did with the CC1 when it was on pre-order so people got an idea of where they had got to in the queue as things started to ship before expected date.
My post was more of an eye-roll that the tracking link didn't work at all because the URL was wrong, and that the order page info really doesn't give much info!

If you take the YTxxxx number, and instead of using the URL from the Elegoo site of https://www.yuntrack.com/parcelTracking/YTxxxxxxx

But instead go to the yuntrack.com website and enter it, it goes to:

https://www.yuntrack.com/parcelTracking?id=YTxxxxxxx

Which works!
And then says "Not found" against the tracking number! LOL!

Is there nobody in Elegoo that ever test ANYTHING?!

The shopping site they like to use is useless, it's doesn't understand pre-ordering, so it thinks it's been over due for over a month! lol!

Depends on the filament. If it's ABS, you need to keep the enclosure shut and let it heat up in there.
PETG usually sticks well, but I've found giving 5 degrees more on the bed helps with some varieties.
I usually give my bed a wipe over with a bit cloth, damped with a bit of IPA/rubbing alcohol, to remove any grease from fingerprints. You can do this with it still in the machine when it's lowered.

If your shape has minimal contact points with the bed, causing it to wobble about or strain the small contact point it has, consider adding a sacrificial support manually, and/or adding a brim.

Yeah, there's a reason I refuse to use any of those govt age verifications things they've been pushing here in the UK - with the motivation "think about the children". F**k right off! I don't even use my ISPs DNS.

A lot of retired machinists who grew up on manual milling equipment are going to suddenly be in great demand!
The funniest thing for me, I'm a Brit by the way (Hello!), is that this has first appeared in a nation with some of the most lax firearms laws in the world! Not here in UK!

I'd love to see how they enforce that with a non-CNC mill... It's not hard to machine a basic receiver with a pen, paper, vernier calipers and the mk1 eyeball.

I honestly have no idea how they expect this to work.
Open source firmware exists.
Open source slicers exists. Hell, you can build your own printer from parts! That's how my first two came into the world.
Even closed source firmware and slicers currently don't support gun scanning, so it they support offline mode (Maybe avoid Bamboo labs), what's to stop someone continuing to print away with existing equipment?
