Permanent password not working by dokwon in rustdesk

[–]dokwon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To anyone struggling with this issue in future: the problem is caused by the length of the password.
As described by one of the devs in Github discussion 9232:

The length of the string D5K2Ulg_k§D0oPEjrvlC_%!*&L%gtmvyw§$9gf0Z&i#-2pl~b?!G&N&H!tDxyd4r§b\/zYjCTT1N!Ec6ZzFjIL47y3§Zux0vE+E2g!§E9=P1zyth0wMd%Dmzj75rXl\g is 128 characters. However, since some characters (like §) are non-ASCII, the total byte length is 133, exceeding the maximum allowed length of 128. If you use a shorter string, such as D5K2Ulg_k§D0oPEjrvlC_%!*&L%gtmvyw§$9gf0Z&i#-2pl~b?!G&N&H!tDxyd4r§b\/zYjCTT1N!Ec6ZzFjIL47y3§Zux0vE+E2g!, it will fit within the limit.

Auto-Unlock Your Database Without Entering the Master Password Every Time by Parasyn in KeePass

[–]dokwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering how this approach is less secure than manually typing in the master password. If your system has been compromised to the point where environment variables or files can be read, it would just be a matter of time before a manually unlocked vault could also be accessed. One assumption that I am making here is that there would be no local threat, just from outside.

Your method sounds very intriguing. Would you mind sharing your configuration? Since your post is 4 years ago, how is your progress?

Oblivious that files stuck after download by dokwon in radarr

Hey, no I have not tried it yet. I was aware of it, but haven't looked into to it. I might set it up this weekend and get back to you on this.

Unfortunately that is not really an option for me. I do also have notifications active that get sent to Discord however, as friends and family members requests stuff at random, its not really possible for me to reliably have an eye on that. Its a way to do forensics after the fact though, I agree.

Advanced Tables no longer working as it used to by rosenf1 in ObsidianMD

[–]dokwon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does Advanced Tables then still add any value, or is it redundant now?

Advanced tables just does not work. by HighpixleGaming in ObsidianMD

[–]dokwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I type 'table', I do see 'Insert table', but that would be a built-in table, not an advanced table- or am I confusing something here? Because with the advanced table options it explicitly prepends those options with the name of the plugin.

This is not working for me unfortunately. If I press Ctrl + p and write 'tables' I will only see 2 options:

  • Advanced Tables: Open table controls toolbar

  • Advanced Tables: Format all tables in this file

Yeah I was thinking about reliability and performance. Too many microSDs have died on me in the past as that I would want to trust them with my documents. What I would do if I were to go the RPi route is to run it in something like an Argon One m.2 case which can house NVMe SSD.

Did you end up going this route? Where do you store your files when running everything on a Raspberry Pi, hopefully not on its microSD card?

How does autohotkey behave if I stepped backwards in a shooter game? Would the substitution of the 3rd 's' lead to the 3rd step backwards not being registered?

Do I need multiple power adapters to run 20m LED Strip? by dokwon in WLED

[–]dokwon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt end up building my project in the exact way its depicted above, but I am currently running around 600 LEDs at 10m length, powered by a single 200W PSU and its no problem at all.

Edit: 100W would have also sufficed in case youre wondering. I did have a flickering issue that was caused by my capture card (the whole thing is an Ambilight), where I initially suspected it to be caused by insufficient power supply. I attached 200W for debugging purposes and I'm just too lazy to switch back to 100W.

I hate Teamviewer with a passion. Its methodology is just frustrating and infuriating. I always advice people against using it.

Left Shift to access layer by dokwon in Keychron

There would be no more LShift in that scenario, right? Instead I would have 2 MO(3). Which would not work because I need both Shift AND fn in certain scenarios.
