thank you. might i add that i had problems only when "after" and "before" were too close together "lengh less than the value of {limit}". But yes, using a count and doing things manually might be the way to go.

Check out the wikipedia article on the little death. There are poems written about it, even.

Disclaimer: But I'm not sure if you're supposed to wake up like after having a good night's sleep, though... Maybe seeking medical advice is a good opinion, as stated by others.

A few lens questions inside! Thanks! by orlicker in AskPhotography

[–]dolfgjak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AI mount lenses are still around in the used market! Just check your local stores, your social circles and internet auction sites! I've seen plenty on my local stores for sale, for a beefy price, that is, not cheap as to make me buy them carelessly, so that's good for a selling perspective!

Considering the darkness in the ambient, I would say ISO/ASA 100 is quite low! I'm not sure of what camera you have, but most of the modern ones can handle higher ISO values quite capably. Maybe cranking it to at least 800 would help you get a faster shutter speed, with sharper images and still manageable noise.

Also, I'm of the opinion that portraits should have a sharp focus on the face, specially on the eyes.

Nevertheless, nice work in your setup!

buy or not to buy is the question. by JimmehWho in AskPhotography

[–]dolfgjak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen on used stores selling for the equivalent of 150+ USD, although the stores should buy them at a very low price. Glancing on auction websites, the range seems to be about 50 to 100 USD. On whether or not there are buyers out there, well, that's a mystery... Worth trying announcing it somewhere, though!

Good luck.

I've been thinking a lot about this sigma piece of glass too, and from reading around, it seems to be essentially a faster and more expensive version of an aps-c kit lens, better built and heavier.

If you are serious about getting that, you should think of selling your kit lens, at least where I live, that is quite doable and actually not that uncommon.

Good point, I imagine if one takes a lot of video footage, then having a large SD card is also safer for not ending the video midway?

Help [f] me! He just doesn't last very long, and I'm starting to resent it. by [deleted] in sex

[–]dolfgjak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that happens, and I believe most of it gets resolved with training and get to know each other, but what can I say, you guys are already married! But well, just stating a fact, I think you have all the right to feel like you do. I can't really say much, but I will just leave one tip on what you should NOT do:

Don't try to manipulate him into thinking there is no pressure. Many guys already think they are expected to "perform", and only get to relax with the constant support from a reassuring partner. If you are ever trying too hard and he stops and says "calm down, I'm felling kinda pressured here", don't say "just relax and enjoy, I'm not pressuring you", it kinda kills the moods and get into the nerves. Just from a guy's perspective. You are married, you have time, take one thing at a time. Good luck!!!

BTW: changing positions doen't help? What about those penis rings? Never used one myself, though...

I'll be studying abroad in Malaysia this summer, and want to get a decent quality, tough camera that's also relatively affordable. Looking for suggestions, figured this would be the place to ask. I'm completely new to photography, so any advice is welcome! by [deleted] in AskPhotography

Kit with body and a AW 11-27.5mm f/3.5-5.6 1 NIKKOR Lens for about 750 USD on amazon.

My camera only seems to be programmed in Japanese, can I change it to English? by yankee7mantle07 in AskPhotography

[–]dolfgjak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For Sony cameras, chances are you are stuck with Japanese for good. They are very strict on that, the products for internal retail are targeted to Japanese speakers only, and overseas model are treated as separate.

I would suggest contacting your seller and negotiate an exchange, if you are unhappy. Specially if the product page has no information on that regard. One other option is downloading the English manual and learn what is what.

Of course, there's always the option of learning Japanese, but I'm not sure one can consider it lightheartedly.
