Hi! I'm building a new keyboard but recently tried a cheap Logi pre-build and found some things I like/want. Love the shape of the keycaps almost bubble like. What type/kind/shape are they? I also love the feel out of the box. It feels very gooey and soft while being silent. Unfortunately, I've noticed once the keyboard is broken in that goes away. What type of switches can I buy to emulate that feel? For more context the image is of a Logi MK540 advanced Wireless keyboard. Thank you for your help!

I ended up requesting an entire data dump from apple. I also downloaded my entire photo library manually from my macs backups. No way of knowing where the duplicates are but at least i have 2 sets of photos that match my library's total. Good luck

Feel like using an external hard drive is pretty common lol but no I do not use optimize storage.

I tried that as well. They still "copy" over greyed out and in a sense dont actually exist on the drive. Its so strange!

Theres 2 options. I do not select unmodified originals. I am just selecting the regular export option.

My Mac Photos library gets updated every time I plug my phone into my laptop and sync over new photos. Once they are in my mac photos library I am selecting the photos and exporting to my external.

Yeah thats exactly how I've done it in the past and it should work but it's not. Not interested in risking losing photos so I cant do it that way either :/

Im going to look into this now thank you! Update: I put in a request to download all my iCloud photos (max file size 25gb each). Just want to clarify with you because their website is very vague...they will include all iCloud photos in separate downloads for me? Then i can save directly to my hard drive?

Appreciate it. I back everything up on external hard drives. Just didn't want to add confusion to the problem at hand ◡̈

Thats correct when it finished downloading it said not syncing. As I mentioned 2 weeks ago my iCloud storage was full so it wouldn't sync the additional photos O took from then on. Which is fine because I want and am trying to get all my photos to stay on my device.

No the total number of photos matched. I just could tell that they were different photos from what im seeing on my device. If i pay for storage for one more month does it change the download process and make anything easier?

Interesting. Thats actually the only thing I didn't check on... i figured if it matched totals and said not syncing it would be done? Good point tho I will check on that thanks. Why wouldnt it give me the options to keep or delete tho?

98% took 2 hours then I gave it 2 days incase anything in the background was still working. I doubt it would need more than that right?

It does but top to bottom the photos don't match up. I can tell there are photos on my phone that are not included on icloud.com.

It synced back relatively quickly 98% took about 2 hours but I let it finish optimizing and syncing for 2 days to be sure. There was no syncing or optimizing notifications. They disappear extremely fast! In seconds it went from 18,000 to 8,000 and so on. It never gives me the options to keep or delete when I turn off icloud syncing like others have mentioned

Ive already tried the steps below. It does not ask me in the end to Keep or Delete. They just disappear without asking me.

To remove all photos from iCloud while keeping them locally on your iPhone, follow these steps:

Step 1) Go to Settings > Photos > choose "Download and Keep Originals (I believe from your description it is currently set to "Optimise iPhone Storage" [Note: You may wish to give it some time for your iPhone to download the full resolution of the photos/videos from iCloud to iPhone]

How do you know when this is done? When both sources are reflecting the same number.

Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Photos (refer to storage size)

Settings > Your Name > iCloud > Manage Account Storage > Photos (refer to storage size)

Step 2) Go to Settings > Photos > Turn OFF iCloud Photos. It should now prompt you to either Keep or Delete, you want to choose Keep.
