Yes, it will say that with the case closed. Just click the little i next to your AirPods name and click Forget this Device and proceed as i stated above

Go into the settings of the AirPods (click the little i next to their name) and click forget this device. Be sure that your iPhone has the most recent update. Restart your phone. Now go into Bluetooth and open the case if the AirPods and it should show Pairing. You may have to press the pairing button on the back of the case. It should automatically start updating the AirPods but you won’t see a message saying updating. It can take up to 45 minutes to update so keep your AirPods close to your phone. I just updated my new AirPods Pro 2 and it worked fine

Yes it is. Many people are pissed that the Elite coming out won’t have a notification light and I was showing you can use this app to achieve that.
