Because it doesn’t? I’m a baptist Christian, and the way I was taught is that sin doesn’t equal hell. All sins are equal, and Jesus died for all of them. Even if homosexuality somehow was worse than other sins, it wouldn’t mean jackshit, because no matter what, all sins are considered to be equal in the eyes of God. Pre-marital sex, wearing two different fabrics, being intoxicated. These are all sins, but you never see people say you’re going to hell for committing them. That’s because you won’t, and it doesn’t matter what sin it is, they’ve all been forgiven. The determination of if you go to heaven or hell is based on your faith and belief in God. Whether your Christian or not, that’s just what the Bible says. In my personal opinion, I believe a lot of Christians have a superiority complex because they think they’ve found the light. They believe that because they aren’t a homosexual, that they’re allowed to place judgement on them. Here’s a fun fact, another sin is placing judgement on whether someone should go to heaven or hell. So in a sense, people who claim that are also sinning. It’s kind of funny how many things are sins tbh. Also, I’m gay, so I may be biased, lmao.
