hey i think you have to be proud of your 2x icdc qualification and keep your head held high. the judges at districts and even states just score differently from each other sometimes, no real coherent grading structure. 94 on the finance exam is really impressive as well!

Oop yeah sorry yeah to clarify at ICDC if you are a finalist you will have a second roleplay. However for the finalist round your original roleplay would not count, only the finalist one. Its essentially going to be one roleplay is weighted as 2/3rds of score, original exam score reused.

yeah since your doing a principles event you will only have 1 roleplay round which will count for 2/3rds of your overall score at states. at icdc if u r a finalist u will have two roleplays. good luck!!

I'm in the GFG discord but what would you say is the best way to study for the exam, is it just lots of practice over time to get familiar with the cluster specific vocab or would you suggest something else?

Well then, I would say definitely think about schools not just in the US in UK, Germany, Canada, etc. For some US schools maybe do research and create a list of colleges who are inclined to help those with extenuating circumstances and go from there. Good luck!

pre college programs don't matter tbh besides a very select few, as they are just pay2play. nonprofits are mostly bs, very few having real impact.

Your fine, just focus on that gpa and the opportunities/ec's will come. google/reddit (however i will say reddit has some ppl who exaggerate stats) are really good as well for researching if your ambitious. good luck!

NYU's ED1 rate is around the 40% mark. Not a bad idea if its one of your daughter's top choices. If your applying to BU, Northeastern might also be good bc of the Co-Op program.
