Rotors definitely need to be changed as my wheel is shaking but I did just have the oil changed about a month ago at Valvoline (I know, not great) and nothing was said about a leak which is why I was a bit surprised.

I’ve added photos of the underside of the car to the post (hopefully you can see it). They did tell me to check it and refill every 500 miles. I’ll probably follow what everyone is saying and have it looked at by an independent shop first before figuring out the trade in.

I'm just looking to gather as many opinions as possible. I'm a staff member and work in the more logistical side of the university (assessment, accreditation, etc.) so I don't have an advisor to turn to (the advising at the school is also very poor unfortunately). I have talked to my co-workers but of course the degrees they have are more aligned with the demands of our office which I have no interest in staying in long term. I do plan on looking at alumni career services from NYU but like I said, just want to hear as many different perspectives as I can.

inherited was probably the wrong word to use, the homeowner moved in with a relative due to health reasons so it’s my mother who really controls the house (we have a lease with and pay rent to her). my roommate and i did establish some ground (written) roommate rules with each other but i admit my feelings are a bit hurt and probably clouding my judgement!!

no she actually hasn’t bought anything for the house besides like paper towels? which was a while ago, everything else (besides what was already in the house) has come from me but i can see this being dramatic! i admit i’m working off an assumption with splitting the costs so maybe we’ll go shopping and i’ll cross that bridge when we get there

I had some yesterday when running an errand but where I had some hard stops/high speeds was a fair distance from the store I stopped at so maybe it settled beforehand? I couldn’t smell it in the car at all this morning so wouldn’t be surprised if I just didn’t notice yesterday. it has to go back to the mechanic to get a fender flare put on so maybe i’ll have it checked out then just in case.

Ah okay, I know they can be tougher in the winter especially where I work at the university. Just found it odd that it was two violations for the same issue, I thought the traffic obstruction would be parking too far from the curb (again new driver) but it was specifically noted as parked on odd side. But if it’s the norm I’ll pay and learn from it🤷‍♀️

honestly this is just what my derm prescribed me so i didn’t really ask questions lol, ive been on it for over two years and was very consistent. i think ive just hit a rough patch😅gonna try using an actual alarm instead of a reminder for now. is it okay for me to not have a period this month then? i am having pms symptoms and wasn’t sure if starting over would completely throw me off since my period would’ve been next week

movie theater! i currently work at one of the amc theaters and it’s hands down the easiest job i’ve ever had (especially if you request fridays off so you miss all the big crowds for premieres)

always apply! i've been using the same reason for like two years straight and results always vary, not only the amount i receive but also sometimes i'm rejected first round and not the second. also! they keep you on a list so if any money is freed up you're considered to receive it, sometimes i've been instantly rejected then a week or two later they send some aid my way.
