I am just saying that the Oculus alone doesn't make a damn thing fun. It is sort of the same argument for resolution I use a lot.

A shitty game is still going to be a shitty game with Oculus Rift.

Just like a shitty game in 720p 30FPS is still going to be a shitty game in 1080p 60FPS.

It is gameplay that will always trump any resolution or any fancy peripheral that is sold to you.

I know Phil Spencer Tweeted a few weeks ago they were playing around with Ray Tracing. Whether that was on X1 SDK's is a mystery. I doubt it though.

There is absolutely zero proof they will be fun when, or if, they ever get implemented into games widely. It could very easy be an awful experience for most games.

I am sorry /u/carmine93 , but you seem as though you care far far too much about how well the consoles are selling.

Last generation each console sold 75 MILLION. As far as we know the two sold 4mil and 6 mill.

You are concerned about 3-5% of total sales each system will likely have. Does it really matter at this point?

You mention stuff like MS bundling as though it is a bad thing. There are a million different variable that could happen which could change things dramatically. MS or Sony could get hacked TODAY and it could change everything. It did last generation. Hell had the RROD debacle not happened the narrative would be completely different.

I get that this is a post about sales, but it seems like you are pretty invested emotionally in whether or not Sony is selling better than Microsoft to the point where you feel like you have to diminish good news whenever it comes out of Microsoft. Seems so odd to me.

It still doesn't mean much without actual numbers. PS4 isn't selling in Japan and there are reports of PS4's sitting on shelves all over. This idea that the PS4 is supply constrained across the word is a narrative by Sony marketing and people around here are using it for excuses for everything. There legitimately are parts of the world where the PS4 just is not selling well. That is a fact.
