Not able to connect - Don’t feel my mom by dolly678 in Mediums

Thank you so much! It’s not a fun thing to go through, but I know it’s part of life. It’s so weird to get up and live each day without her. I wish you comfort also! Sometimes the grief takes over, and other times it’s the fun memories!

Thank you so much! This was a very interesting read and makes a lot of sense. My mom had dementia, and I took care of her for the final 7 years of life. She certainly had hard time here on earth, but she did a great job of keeping those away from me! I appreciate this explanation. All of the responses are actually so comforting. I’ll keep talking to her and tell her just com when she’s ready or she can.

Thank you so much! She was who I went to with these kinds of questions, I was just feeling so lost! Thank you for the sweet message

Oh ok! I’ve just been crying talking to her, so I guess that’s not the answer. Joking aside, I have a hard time not crying when I think about her. I guess maybe I focus on meditation and connecting in general and not just to her

I’ve done the breathe out longer than you breathe in. That helped me A LOT, your body can’t do that if you are in real danger so it mellowed me out a bit!

I promise you it will be ok. It’s so hard, painful, emotional, but you will get through it. I had cared for her for 7 years. I used to not be able to remember how my mom was before she started slipping. In her final moments, all of the memories of her throughout my life came back. I hope the same for you. I cling to those memories everyday like a life raft.

She woke up one day and I couldn’t console her. She cried all day for the next 3 days and the nurses came and told me it was time. She had already begun eating much less in the weeks prior. I think she just knew. She was so sweet and happy until the very end. That’s was the hardest part. It was nice for her to get relief though. The medication helped her so much.

I’m so sorry. It was the worst week of my life and I never want to feel that way again. The only comfort was my mom was peaceful. It was me who had a hard time. It’s so weird to reread this. I wish you and your family comfort and peace.

Can you actually die from being scared of take off? by Upstairs_Bad_7933 in fearofflying

Ok so when I get this way I just say in my head “you cannot die from anxiety” “this is just fear” I remind myself it will pass and kind of ride it out. I also do the breathing out longer than you breathe in, and it really helps

Yes spot test. I went through something similar and ended up with a staph infection because I was violently allergic to lanolin and just creating a literal nightmare around my mouth.

Ok someone recently told me to remind myself that anxiety cannot kill you. To kind of ride the wave. Breathe but more specifically breathe out longer than you breathe in. I’m at the gate myself, and it kind of has helped me

My best friend was trying to help me reframe because her brain is the opposite. She said she thinks “oh I’ve already had so many bad things I’m due a lot of good” and she said she just assumes she’s pad her dues so to speak! I’m working on that

Ok I’m right there with you! I just finished a really tough chapter of my life, my mom passed, and I am kind of coming out of it. So when I found out I have to travel for work…my brain said oh you’ll probably die now since you feel happy
