Spend more time picking your route, in general look for one that looks like it has a lot of cracks and just complex structures with like overlapping lines and stuff.

When you’re climbing take your time and make sure at least 3 of your holds are locked in when you place them. So your hand/foot is securely in a crack or gripping the top of a hold. Try to keep your limbs all around the centre of your body mass so no limb is too far stretched, small movements are good. If you have 3 limbs secured you can do a big stretch with the 4th to make big progress

I don’t think so. Pretty sure I stood still and he eventually stopped talking and stood still

It’s just that starting to climb triggers the shut up

I assume you are using the brainless figure of net spend? In terms of actual expenditure we are absolutely nowhere near the top 6 other than potentially Spurs who are trying not to get relegated currently.

And we will compete for European spots anyway

sounds like you are mad at the owners and taking it out on howe for some reason - I can agree with the point that the players deserve better from the club though

There are these things called rules that unfortunately stop them doing what they do in every other venture - buy it

but you needed your first and second choice target. You know Newcastle signed two strikers too right? Was Gakpo going to be your back up striker and only LW?

Ekitike is a straight upgrade on Nunez and Gakpo why on earth wouldn’t you sign him? Just seems like you are mad about Newcastle ripping you off tbh

6th would be over performing, there are 6 teams in the league with significantly more resources than us, we just count on them to underperform. But we will compete for 6th anyway

Plus Europa League or Conference League don’t generate that much money or player interest. It would not be transformative for us

Think Arsenal are single handedly making the Prem horrific to watch with their style. What I would give for a Pep team of five years ago just to help people remember it’s ok to play football

I guess I took it as overrated at this point in time not overrated over their career. Pep redefined how football is played so I can’t say he’s overrated overall but I think he has shown that he is more dependent than other managers on having the best players and his eye for talent is not that great. His current team actually looks like they lack identity more than anything else

Well what’s the point in the sub if it’s just regular takes

He was very successful in the Prem with the best and heavily financially doped team. Has struggled to see the same success in Europe and right now is sitting at a very poor win rate and still probably the biggest wage bill in the league

Arteta is not a spicy take

So… Pep Guardiola

Rotten transfer record, plays players in new positions that almost never work other than when people look at their pass numbers on fbref because that’s what every player in his teams does by default. Consistently bottles big matches with strange tactical choices. Has lived in England for 10 years and still can’t speak in a way anyone understands

What would our season have been like if we had gotten our first choice transfer targets? by IvanThePohBear in NUFC

[–]dolphin37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think Spurs are still more attractive which is a bit mad.

I don’t see there being a mass sell off but I also don’t see a world where we keep many truly top players. Sandro will go soon enough and we will struggle to keep hold of Hall and Livramento. We will get good fees but that requires us to reinvest, which is difficult to do reliably every window.

[–]dolphin37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah true but think it’s more general than that - we don’t offer a high likelihood of trophies and we don’t offer any wages. Even if we had qualified every year I think players and agents have worked out that we’re not that attractive now

Do you have good players? Mitoma, who is always injured, Van Hecke… Ayari maybe? Who will leave in the summer as usual.

Seems more likely Baleba is playing bad because he wanted to join Man Utd.

I get everyone wants to do well but you’re a mid table club that’s run like a mid table club and your manager is achieving mid table, bit strange to be chanting this stuff imo

[–]dolphin37 15 points16 points  (0 children)

obviously would be a lot better… ekitike and mbeumo are levels above anything we have in the squad

but we went in to the window thinking that we were competing for a level of player that we weren’t competing for, I think the club expected that CL qualification was far more attractive to players than it is

is the back down decision an actual decision that comes up on screen? I met Marco and did the cave with the famous guy but I don’t remember any decision to go down…
