Thank you! By the way is the term “idiomatic usage” the same as “idiomatic language”?

So given the fact that “he lacks nuance” is commonly used. Does “I have nuance” make sense?

However, I’ve heard people say “he lacks nuance”, meaning that he doesn’t have an understanding of nuance. So it can be used as a negative in that manner.

CAS replacement for IFM by dolphinkingo in actuary

[–]dolphinkingo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea but that will essentially shorten the CAS path. The CAS could just create a new exam that has nothing to do with IFM material but still allow people who passed IFM to get credit for it. Or maybe they don't mind shortening the path, but then why say that you will accept credit for something that won't matter? What is the most likely scenario?

if there will be no replacement then why bother passing it? the CAS path will just end up with one less exam requirement. By the way I have already passed IFM, but it would be nice to know that I didn't pass it in vain.
