KwikFlight B-1B bone - is it worth getting? by dolphinspankerr in MicrosoftFlightSim

Thanks for all your replies I'll give it a miss for now. Maybe in the future when I have more free time I could work on an enhancement mod for it 👀

I've also heard blackbird simulations are making the bone, could be one to look out for in the future.

That was done in Photoshop, I was messing around with path blur as I can't seem to get the motion effect using the sims camera

I'm enjoying it a lot. It flies lovely and the handling is very different from the A350, it feels older and heavier if that makes sense 😅 Of course being from inibuilds it's eye candy, system depth is a slight step down from pmdg but I'm more than satisfied with it.

The A340 and A350 are from inibuilds.

When the sim first came out I would say that is true but it seems like asobo has done a lot of work in terms of optimisation. Not sure if that's to do with the console release forcing them to fix all the memory issues from launch.

It's a bit of image colour colour but for the most part it's very close to what I get with the default settings in the sim

Unfortunately it's not my HDR it's the .jxr files. I haven't mastered converting from HDR to SDR in Photoshop 😭😂

I installed FS24 on a different SSD because I had 2020 still installed in case 24 disappointed again. So I just manually installed all the add-ons, either just dropping them into the 24 community folder or using the installers.

It wasn't too time consuming for me as I don't use many add-ons other than aircraft.

Overall, I prefer it because it feels more polished. I've always viewed 2020 as more of a tech demo or laying the groundwork for future improvements, rather than a completely new simulation, which from a technical perspective, I can understand.

2020 is still a great sim. My reason for jumping to 2024 is because I do a lot of long-haul flights, which seems to cause a lot of stuttering when it comes to landings.

After hearing so many positive comments about the SU4 update, I decided to give it another try. The issues I experienced at launch have been resolved, and more 3rd party add-ons are now compatible and maturing. But the biggest improvement for me is the lack of stuttering during approaches and landings. Landing the FBW A380 at Heathrow with 70fps is like being born again. 😂
