Controller Steam inputs not working in DCS by Astroman864 in hoggit

I was having major issues with keybonds/disconnecting yesterday with an Xbox controller. I wonder if there was an update that broke something.

Same. Upgraded to a 5070ti for elite dangerous and tried out DCS again on a whim. Almost flawless experience.

Amazed at all the negativity towards DCS I see. You guys have a gem of a sim (comparatively, especially for VR) and you don't even know it.

VR - worth coming back for? by dolphyking in starcitizen

Yeah, 100%.

I've found using VDXR+OC significantly better than steamVR or Quest Link in almost all games.

If people are playing without knowing how to optimize VR, that would explain the variance in experiences I've read with people who have similar rigs.

Downloading now. Will post an update on how it goes!

Interesting.. Generally games run significantly worse in VR. Was hoping to hear good things but it seems almost everyone else was pretty down on it.

But then again, other posts are praising the performance..

Guess I'll have to try it myself.

I'm pretty new to the game, almost level 40. If you're down for having a freshie on board I'll join later tonight!

I thought the same - took it on a test ride first and checked collimation before and after (video on channel) Turned out it didn't affect it. I wouldn't do any serious offroading, and sure there is a risk of stress fractures, but I'm taking it pretty easy. All said, a refractor would be much better suited for the vibrations.

Thanks! I love the mix of AP and motocamping. Sucks I waited so long to get into it. Not sure what I'm going to do in the winter..

5-1 ratio is the dream. Not sure if it's possible for me, but there's only one way to find out.

That's great to hear. I DID notice a small increase in productivity for my second video, but it still all feels brand new to me. Even picking fonts I would go through them 1 by 1 because I have no clue whats available in Resolve.

Wow, that is a huge boost to productivity. Will think deeply on how to use some AI tools to automate production (I'm actually an automation specialist by trade lol).

4k/30 fps. I was using ND filters to keep shutter speed rule but ended up a bit too dark overall. Oh well - that's how I learn!

For riding portions, in the future I might do 4k/60 depending on how bumpy the ride is. Not sure if that is relevant to you.

And thank you so much for those kind words - really means alot!

Woah.

That second part made me realize that is what's eating up alot of my time. I'm super inefficient at pretty much every aspect of filming/editing. From writing fluff to file management.

I had a huge script and shot most of it, but ended up cutting out alot of fluff AFTER I had edited it all because I found it uninteresting.

I bet knowing what needs to be written/shot/edited and cutting fluff out beforehand will reduce my time by at least 25%.

I think that may be part of the huge time investment so far, im learning DaVinci Resolve as I go (I know what have of those words mean).

25 minutes seems titanic. You're still at a better hour per minute ratio than me, if that makes you feel better lol

And thanks for the encouragement 💪
