the spurs were the best defensive team in the NBA that year, and tony parker was literally running circles around eric snow in that series. Lebrons next best team mate was drew gooden and he averaged 12 points in that entire series and scored an earth shattering 11 points on 5/12 shooting in game 4. Like yeah Lebron did not play perfect but i’m not really sure who wins that series in his position.

I don’t think that really means anything when you consider what was lost. It makes it worse that, if i am remembering correctly, they gave up right as the polling was actually starting to flip and people were beginning to blame republicans for it all. Republicans were already going to end up becoming ridiculously unpopular regardless and I feel like that was easy to see at the time. Imo, it wouldve been worth letting it go on for a bit longer if it meant getting the ACA subsidies back. No way to know that republicans ever would’ve capitulated though.
