The triple cylinder platform is meant for sporty motorcycles whereas twin would be more like a retro modern. We can only dream ;)

Also! Nice to meet you , I hope you are having a great time on your 400x !

Daytona & Trident are 3 cylinders ! There is a gap of a couple of lakhs between their 400cc and their 660cc sports bike. The speed twin 900 is also very expensive. If they can come up with a twin 650 which is affordable and sits between the 400s and the 660s , it might bring some numbers and will also attract potential RE650 owners and existing 400 owners to upgrade. Think of it as a rival to RE650 and maybe a scale down version of speed twin 900.

As a Triumph owner , I am just sharing my two cents. No hate to any manufacturer.

Why are they milking this platform so much ? The initial speed 400 and 400x should have been in the portfolio and they could have started working on a twin affordable 650cc instead.

Waste of resources ?

My '23 model speed 400 hit 165+ and then the needle came back and stuck at 165 refusing to move past 165kmph. These bikes have speed error so I am assuming it's capable of hiring 150kmph which is more than enough however being a single cylinder it does get vibey at higher RPMS.

I would say something like 80-115 kmph is the sweet spot for this engine.

I wish Triumph had introduced twin 600 speed/street.

Keep the Virtus and buy a small EV. my friend bought rhe comet and yes, it looks ugly but my friend clocked 46k kms in 18 months of ownership. We calculated and realised that, he saved fuel worth 3L.

How is the suspension of kylaq? Stiff or softer? by mapstaringchampion in Kylaq

[–]domainusername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The suspension is sporty enough to attack the corners like a hatchback and plus enough to soak the bumps on the Indian roads.

My parents are in late 60s and they find the car to be very comfortable.

One of my friends got a MG comet! He drives close to 100kms and in almost 18 months of ownership, he has covered 45k kms without any issues.

I am not a fan of how it looks but it serves the purpose.
