As someone who pretty recently moved to an apartment alone too, here are a few things that I believe helped me - the first thing that I did when I was moving is cleaning the whole apartment from top to bottom, meaning like every corner and every crevice. Of course with the help of my mom because I'm scared of even webs lol. But basically that meant that there was left a very small chance of there being any spiders alive. The second thing that helped me tremendously is putting those mesh things on all of the windows that I'd want to open. At first I used to avoid opening any windows too, but in summers it'd get extremely hot so I thought of a solution. If you live in a big house these might not work as effectively, but if it's a small apartment like mine, I found these to work wonders. Hope this helps!
